I use carto tanks exclusively. I get looks, I get questions, sometimes I help convert smokers over to our side, sometimes I get to help novice vapers realize a better way... FWIW John, I also tested the Provari using the same Cartos that I tested the LT with. Boge 3 ohm SR. It's all I use. Again, the Provari worked as advertised, the LT did not. Also consider the voltage drop increasing as the batteries discharged. I use the same AW IMR 18650 batteries in both... -

I'll admit I know very little about DC Cartos. I don't use them, I tried them before and decided no matter what the resistance, I don't like them. On the volcano Cartos, I wasn't aware of that either since I have used Boge Cartos in tanks long before I ever heard of volcano or the Lavatube... -

Lavatube/tube tank question- cartos inside...
Before you cut, try picking up a standard 510/510 adapter. Not sure if this would even work, but it would get the length right. I think for a DCT MAP tank where the caps are longer inside the tube itself, it may work. Not sure on yours. Another thing you could try is to cut it down, and use... -

I keep my back up Provari and my Lavatube in the Lavatube case. They both fit just fine. Someone on the forum posted pics of a waterproof pelican style cigar case that he kept his Provari in that was pretty cool, but I can't find it ATM. Sent via cellular communication device... -

I'll consider it, but I don't think it will change anything. My 3ohm Boge's don't hit the amp limit of the device, so I don't really see the benefit to testing again with the HV5's. Sent via cellular communication device... -

I'm surprised that Grimm didn't have a comment when he tested it a 6v and it read 5.5v under load with a 3 ohm carto. But it seems my findings are reproducible with other units. I would be curious to know what voltage his battery had remaining on it when he shot his video. Sent via cellular... -
