No problem with copper as long as the customers understand that it WILL discolor and it WILL need constant maintenance, if they want it to stay looking new. I say don't coat it at all. If you want copper, you get copper and all that goes with it. If you coat it the coating will not wear off...

I think I started this cluster.... because, well, my top caps were not stainless. Everything else is as far as I can tell. And I've been playing with stainless, brass, aluminum etc. on my boats all my life. I think the top caps are the only issue.
I think just maybe we need to back off on Sunny just a bit. We have been busting his balls pretty hard and I sincerely believe he's doing the best he can.
