    Handturned Wooden and Acrylic Driptips

I am still interested and I turn them. It is awesome to see all of the cool shapes you come up with. The new metal is cool looking! There are lots of different materials for pen blanks that will make cool tips that no one has even tried yet. Can wait to see more of you work. :)

New Wood, Acrylic and Tru Stone Drip tips

I have been hoping they will start to sell larger blanks of tru-stone, but I still can't find any. A lot of the cool stuff seems to be just in pen blanks, which works great for tips. Have you though about making some tips in antler? Can't wait to see the how its made page you are planing on making.

I could use jaws to clamp the blank and use the lathe to drill, but I don't have a accurate way of making or measuring the groove inside the tube. I would also only be able to make a o-ring groove at one end. It would be great if I could do it, really clean simple look that won't scratch the...

A angled keyway would work. After searching broaching keyway I came across this video Cutting an Internal Keyway on a Lathe - YouTube I think I might be able to do this on the drill press with the table angled 1-2 deg. Then I started searching for flat springs. 1/8" x 1" or close would be great...

Cool that should keep it from stripping. I found the allan set screws, but I can't find a round threaded sleeve for them. Do you happen to know the name of them? A leaf spring would be great, but I don't know how to make the grove inside on the drill press. This possibly sounding like a great...

A screw with a head would be hard because the diameter and shape of the wood is not consistent or flat. I could inset a set screw like on a towel bar, but that would leave a hole. Some of the stabilized wood is pretty soft so a set screw may also strip pretty easy. I bet it would work good with...

On the site the only VV is the XL3, but it is not 3v-6v and does not boost the voltage. The only VV 3v-6v I know I can turn is the Segelei LT, which is very similar to the LT. I just do not know how these are going to look yet. In October-November I plan on trying to turn the ego twist, EVO and...

How they hold up depends a lot on what they are made out of and how they are treated. Acrylic is the most durable. This weekend I had my Lavatube up on a rock and it got knocked off. It fell about three feet onto rocks then rattled down a few more rocks. It looks like I never dropped it and...

Thanks for pitching in a little more Jennifer can use all the help she can get. tmcase sold it at a fixed price because other higher priced items were not receiving high bids. She let me know this before it was posted and I told her it was fine. I also noticed this same trend in the auctions...

Lorddavon told me how to turn the Segelei Lt on and off. I can't believe I didn't figure it out.... You just click the fire button fast 5 times... just like some other devices I have. I just thought I would correct my previous post about it not having a on/off function. Thanks again LD :)

Well I am onto beta test#3 with my poor LT. The epoxy stuck to the acrylic great, but a small section of the acrylic broke instead. The epoxy didn't seem to grab in the hole just up on top. I think maybe it was all pushed out when I pressed in the connector. I was able to get the cone free...

Thanks I was very nervous making that video. PBusardo used a piece of a busniss card to help the Kick make contact in the indulgence. He shows how at 11:30 in the video. I read that someone used copper foil to sleeve the inside of a tube mod so the battery wouldn't rattle. I assume this...
