Updated to 1 inch 5mm straight. Will work on that one along with the 1.25 hourglass. Here is the thicker 1 inch 5mm hourglass in the abyss. For comparison the thin 1inch 5mm hourglass in blooming lilac Thick vs thin. The acrylic wall at the thinnest point is twice as thick and...

Very nice :) The deer antler tip looks perfect on that device! I added both of those to the list. On your list I still have 1 inch 5mm hourglass thicker in Mineral Sea, Molten Ocean and Mookite Jasper. Is the height and material still correct? Last night I finished programming the 1 inch...

Great to hear you like your tips :) Your brother's tip has thin walls. Did he or you notice if it got hot? The lathe is running again and can currently make original and 1/8 HC tips. I am hoping to have it make a 5mm tip on Monday. After that I will make a thicker 5mm shape.

I don't mind at all. I am also curious about how they make blanks. I assumed it was poured and flowed into the nooks and crannies. Vacuum would make more sence though. The core protects the wood / acryic from the e-liquid and vapor on the inside. The out side may be vulnerable to e-liquid...

I use CA glue to seal the outside of tips that require a finish to seal the material when I turn by hand. This process comes from turning and finishing pens. When they cast the blanks the acrylic may soak into the material enough to seal it to the center and it may not. I know when they...

Sorry the CNC lathe can't make tips out of stabilized wood. Wood, stabilized wood, horn, antler and some materials that are a mix of acrylic and stabilized wood require a finish to seal these materials, which can't be done on this lathe. When these materials are not sealed they can stain from...

Thank you everyone! It is great to hear that you like how the tips came out :) Thank you again to all of you that purchased a tip! These purchases allow me learn, improve the lathe and try new ideas. Without you none of this would be possible. I added your name to the list. When I am finished...

The acrylic wall on the 5mm is very thin. On the 1/8" bore version the tip got hot while chain vaping. This may also be true on the current 5mm. A thicker wall and tru-stone keeps the heat down. Toward the end of next week I will be trying new tools. After a week of tooling I will make the side...

Your deer antler tip is just about finished. It took 3+ hours on and off for 3 days. It was a lot of fun to turn by hand again :)

Will do. I used the last piece of bronze and violet on your straight tip. On the 5mm hollow core inlace acrylester (bronze and violet) is really fragile because it is brittle and the acrylic is thin at the tip. The lava blanks hold up better. I have the following lava blanks in stock. A kingly...

I am running a day or two behind. A super bowl party got the better of me :) Before the party I programmed the original 1.25 comfort on a hollow core and turned it today. The stainless core starts about 1/64" below the acrylic. I think the durability will be about the same or a hair weaker...
