Added you to the list. :) When I get a chance I will ask you more questions and send you info.
The cnc lathe won't turn antler. The one for darksparkle is for testing the press fit core.
There is room for 3 more people on the list. The list will be open for a week or until full.
Thanks :)

I am glad your tip survived the fall. Normally the inside of the antler is all that is left after turning. Here is how the antler normally comes out
What length would you like it in?
Do you have a shape in mind?
Which tip was damaged durning removal?
I am so glad the weekend is finally here and I get time to play with the lathe :)
Thank you for testing these tips and providing such great feedback and pictures!
I have also had durability issues with these tips and have broken 3 in this style. On every one of these tips the acrylic was...
During my commute I was thinking about the o-rings. How tmcase always uses the smaller o-rings and it works great. How darksparkle had no problems with the spheroid or pro tank using the larger o-rings. Tonight instead of making a deeper o-ring groove I picked up a tip and put on the smaller...
That's great it finally came off. Please let me know which tip was damaged and I will send you a new one.
Tonight I am going to make a tip with a slightly deeper o-ring groove. I will put the smaller o-rings on and test with my DID. If it works I will make your replacement tip with the same...
Sorry they are giving everyone problems and thank you for bringing it to my attention so I can take care of it. These tips should have a very snug fit requiring side to side movement while pulling. However they should not be as tight as some of you are experiencing.
If your tip is very...
Sorry they are getting stuck.
When wiggling the tip side to side you should feel movement. If gently side to side doesn't produce movement use more side to side force unit you get movement. You can use lots of side to side force if needed and it shouldn't hurt the tip. Normally lots of force...
I don't know if the freezer will help. When they are really stuck wiggling it side to side a lot while pulling gently should allow it to come out. If it still gives you trouble let me know.
5mm HC tips going out for testing.
For the left: blooming lilac, red sea and green ruby
Press fit connectors for wood turners. The stainless tube can be pressed into the connector with a pen press and turned on a wood lathe.
One of these cores I will be testing in deer antler. The other two...
Unfortunately I can't operate the lathe and program at the same time. The tips I have been posting are the result of a section of programing that is finished. Once a section is finished I move on to the next. Once all of the programming is finished I can make a batch.
Update on the...
Here is the first 5mm HC for a DID turned in jelly roll. Not that you would drip on a DID, but it is what I have on hand. 50/50 drips right threw and there is no gurgling . :)
Tomorrow I will make a shape or two that is more useful and send them out for testing.
I got in last night and had a great trip visiting family. Now that I am back in California I really miss the Washington scenery.
It is great to see everyone likes the pictures of the new tips. Those three tips will be used for testing and I can't wait to hear the results.
My brother now has my...
On the left is a hour glass made to fit a spheroid turned in fire nebula
Two on the right are....yeah they don't have a name, but need one. The top half is the same as the hour glass and the bottom is similar to a comfort.
Original comfort is in the line up to show how slender these new tips...
Thank you :D
I am happy with my new tip, it is really comfortable. It's slender but has the same bore as the original. I am going to be sad if it breaks.
Work and the shop are very hard on tips. My other hollow core tip is made of acrylic acetate and survived. My new lava tip took it's first...
