    LOL. ok i'd rather get a little 3.7v shock ... wait i literally just took off the atty, put my finger on the end, pushed the button... No shock. TAKE YOUR ATTY OFF when pocketing? <insert cool carrying case here...> i can imagine a nice brushed metal outside finish with customizable innerds...

    Wow. i thought i was gonna have to cut off my hand... the tinkerer i am... i take apart my protege to see what the issue with the button is... it was acting funny. So i look at the button and its REALLY crooked. so i tried to tweak it back and boom the prong on one side comes loose. i pocket...

    ah ha... i don't blame them then, i was not in the know about this. I've got connections in the mfg world that I'm sure would know a injection mold shop, and could make an assemble custom carts with the felt material or whatever else would work better than the Chinese ones ;-)

    Protege+501 -vs- Protege+801

    I would think the problem with cutting would be the cart as the last post said, but if you were dripping and cut it, the mouth peice might not fit anymore because of the taper on the atty cut too much and the slip fit of the mouthpiece would become too loose and just fall out.
