I think the op isn't saying they aren't getting a satisfying vape from a 1600mah, it's that the sweet zone of 4.2 - 3.7 volts does not last long enough.

Robert or others... will the new Sony 18650 2500 mah batteries work in the grand? Looking for a battery that will last me more than 3 hours or so before getting too weak. My AW18650 1600mah just don't cut it.

I have some rustoleum spray enamel...want to keep my copper vein finish from tarnishing. Will this be ok and not ruin/strip the finish?

Depending on your budget you might want to check out a Reo on reosmods.com or in the supplier forum here.
The reo is a bottom fed with juice tank, mod that also had a superb bottom fed atty called the rm2. Super easy to build the atty, and with a 6ml tank...I fill it once a day and just vape...
Very nice, may have to try this with Robs idea to solder a lead to the spring base. That way there is still room for the spring to collapse if something bad happens.
