    Yep... I glowed the coil with a torch first. Installed, then fire it red 2 or 3 times and tweak the coils to ensure a tight coil. then I check my connections to make sure they arent loose. Im thinking one of the leads isnt making a solid connection.

    Ya thats what I thought as well...connection issue. I have had problems with my IGO-W catching the wire but not making a good connection when I use the thru holes. I think I will wrap another tomorrow and use the TOP of the posts to get a better connection. With you jig..I dont mind making...

    Hey all.. Really getting the hang of micro-coils. I did run into a strange issue today... I recently got DARKZERO's jig tool (what a GREAT tool!)... so I eagerly got out my 28 ga Kanthal and wound a 11 wrap coil around the 1/16" mandrel. It metered out at 3.3 Ohms....ughh. So I did another...

    Nope using a IGO-W with a micro-coil and LOVIN it! I have a Reo Grand..but its the Non-VV (unregulated) one. Im tempted to get the RDA for the Reo so i can squonk myself to happyness...but really dont like the inconsistancy of a un-regulated device. I know..I know... Im a wierdo.....

    Yep... just twist an end and pull it through. Be careful not to use too much cotton or it wont go thru your coil. As far as fear of burning... I find that I can taste when I need to re-drip before it burns. The flavor drops way off... I haven't burned any cotton yet and been using it for...

    Amen to that. And some flavors I liked in my carto tanks or pro tank I find TOO strong with cotton wicks. What I like is I can vape a flavor for an hour or two, yank out the cotton, replace, and vape a new flavor in less time then it took me to punch a carto. Oh and BTW... your suggestion...

    ROFL "Take a bang off of this one baby!" so..have any of you noticed after a few days, your coils going up in resistance? My coil started out as 1.6-1.7 and is now reading 1.9-2.0. I have checked my connections and they are fine. I would assume as some carbon builds up your resistance...

    Just drilled my IGO-W out to 1.5 -1.7 mm (on each hole).... WOW this thing hits like a damn freight train now! I need to down my nic level to 18mg...buzzing right now ...heh heh (I was doing 36mg when using my Protank).

    Smoke a cigar or pipe...and tell me how much is too much! I have never enjoyed by e-cig more than I have recently with my RDA and micro-coil.... and as others have pointed out it is FAAAR safer then an unregulated mod with a sub-Ohm coil.

    Interesting... I notice my cotton going almost dry at the ends before the middle. But I will try using less cotton. Even though the ends are dry there is still some juice in the cotton when I changed it out.

    If you are using cotton take a thin strip, roll one end into a point and insert...give yourself enough of a point to be able to grasp it and gently pull it through your coil. Then snip off the point and you are good to go.
