    It's been a while since I've used my stick, but I seem to remember getting the red flash once when the atty wasn't getting a good connection. Try shoving a paper towel as far as you can down to where the atty screws in, and twist it around to clean the threads.

    Yes, the eGo is basically just a bigger/longer-lasting battery, and a cone to make it look nice. You can use it with 510 attys or cartomizers, just like the normal 510 battery, or you can use it with the newer mega atty/carts (a.k.a. atomegas) that were made for the eGo battery.
