The batteries must have something to do with it. They all seem to affect the draw. I can change mine right now and the draw will change with no change to the cart or atty.
And I know you can blow backwards on them with a atty in to clean the atty, and a bunch of vapor comes out of the atty.

When the draw gets really bad - it seems like the battery is plugged up. Is there anything I can do to clean it out? Blowing it out doesnt seem to do anything.
Thanks!

Maybe it is because certain things can be filtered by certain other things. Think of a coffee filter - the grounds stay in, the flavored water comes out. Magic.
Think of a cigarette. The smoke goes in, your lungs absorb the nicotene, and you exhale minus most of the nicotene. Magic.

I tried the patch (made me super nervous and dizzy, even on the lowest dose)
I tried the gum, and it totally effd up my stomach
I tried cold turkey and that was a joke (umm 1.5 days) :)
These things did the trick.
I feel better, I can breathe better, I dont stink. Etc. Etc.
Happy camper...
I dont know, Ive never done this, but I imagine if you can soak them at all and they still work, time isnt a factor.
The only thing I can think of is the alcohol evaporating, and the crud getting stuck all over the place.

Yeah, they do. I only do about 4 drops at a time, this seems to be about an analog's worth of nicotene. I dont mind refilling for each time.
Also, if you draw slower on it, this is less of a problem.

I saw an interview With Ozzy Ozborne who said hes done it all - and smoking is the hardest to quit. I believe it.
The guy is the authoritative source on addictive substances ;)

ps - the dry burn process will make a bad taste for the first few hits once you get a hit. But after you are done you will enjoy a clean taste, and a monster hit that will remind you of when you first bought the atty.
I do the vodka soak all the time and I have a few tips.
1st - there is always (I have heard) the possibility that you could destroy the atty. Make sure you have a spare atty before you try this. Also honestly, it will take your atty out of commission for a few days. (dry time)
I have done...
Another thread made me realize how old my atty is. I got it in early March 09 and its for a 901.
So whats your oldest daily use atty? The only time this hasnt been used daily is when its soaking or drying, then I switch to another until its ready, so 2 days vacation for it, tops.
Oh and in response to Bandit I basically do wait until its "dead" and other non intrusive methods fail. What I mean is:
When the atty is so bad that its not fun to use anymore - to me its dead. I then try to dry burn a few times. If that doesnt work, I soak em. This ends up being about every 2...
I have an atty (my first ever) for my 901 that still works from March 09 that I have soaked in Smirnoff every two weeks since I got it. All my others too, and I have never had an atty die. They vape 10x better for about a week after doing this.
There is always a bunch of gunk floating around...
Hey - here it is
We should have a survey for ppl to fill out. We have enough ppl here to answer alot of the questions that we all toss around and debate.
Sorry if this idea has been brought up b4 but i searched and cant find anything.
First we would have to have someoene to compile results...
