    Funny you should mention that. I already was a big wine nerd (and beer nerd), and I'm loving it now...although my palate is going all over the place, and some things I liked before taste terrible now, and vice versa. Strangely, I didn't have the same experience with beer. Huh.

    Yeah, I'm no expert, but I didn't think the internal chemistry of a li-ion battery allowed for anything other than a very few limited voltages (3.0v, 3.2v, 3.6v, and 3.7v, if I remember correctly).

    Hmm....it's not looking good with the new battery. The LED comes on when I plug in the USB cable, but it's so dim you can barely tell. I'm too tired to troubleshoot it tonight, so I'll let it charge until morning and see if the situation changes.

    Well, still not sure about the ion/polymer issue. Palm says ion, Softpedia claims polymer, and all the replacement batteries seem to be polymer.

    Beats me. It's definitely a soft flat pack, with no metal casing. I don't think you can do that with a li-ion.

    You can buy conductive glue to get around the soldering issue. I don't have any experience with it myself, though, so I can't say how well it will work.

    Well, I really have no idea if it will work, gmojo. I like the Palm battery because it has a decent capacity, and is lithium polymer like the stock digipower battery. I believe a li-ion would work, but I figured I'd start of with something as similar as possible, then work out from there.
