Dave, I was using 1.2v NiMH AA batteries. However, I also used a set of brand-new alkaline 1.5v batteries, and the results were identical. I think I get what you are saying about discharge rate, though.- boondongle

Thanks! It was tough working in such a small area. By that, do you mean that I have to hold the switch for a shorter period of time? On my 3.7v, I hold the switch for about 6-7 seconds. With the 5v, holding it longer than 3 seconds makes the burning taste come out very strongly, and a 3-second...- boondongle
