Usually dry burning kills off the gunk unless you're vaping hard on sweet/dark juices and it you've been reusing the stardust for quite awhile now. Technically speaking, dry burning shouldn't burnt the wick, wicks are design to withstand very high temperature! -

anyone tried out kanthal & nichrome wire before?
You could also use a lighter and run through the Kanthal wire and it will hardened it and being less springy. -

PG VG will affect. VG tends to be sweeter than PG and the outcome will result sweeter tasting. -

Yes, of cause you can Stock. The lower ga, the lesser the resistance. 32ga is low resistance, in the range of 2 ohm or lesser, 36ga in the range of 2.5ohm and/or higher. I've found 32ga works nice with 3 coils(3.7v), more coils requires higher power. -

New ody works with the new and old ody-ggts base... If you want to put them onto the collector tank(ggts) you will need the new ggts-ody base. Otherwise, as mention here in this thread you will need the adapters. -
