Stainless Steel Drip-Tips from Good Prophets

Though I enjoy dripping with 901 attys, I've put off buying a drip-tip until now. The reason: Price. I know that $8-$12 isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things, but paying that much for a dime's worth of plastic or metal is just off-putting to me. After all, they're just metal...

    Vaporrenu liquid review

I got four bottles during the initial $5/30ml sale - orange cream, mango, clove and coffee - all 16mg/ml, 80/20 mix and aggressive TH. The orange cream (tastes just like a creamsicle!) and mango were both excellent, and the clove was proper clove, not the sweet licorice flavor that some...

    Box mod availability?

+1 If anything is worth waiting a week for, it's the bart.

Initial review of the Mr. Puffer

A 901 atty has a higher resistance than a 510 atty, and much higher resistance than a LR 510. This results in a cooler, smoother vape, which many people (myself included) enjoy. You don't get more flavor per-se, but you get subtleties in flavor with the 901 that you miss with the 510. It's...

Using a multimeter on atties for the first time - need help

I've owned several multimeters over the years, and a few - particularly the cheap ones - had lead issues. For whatever reason, the lead tips had some sort of coating on them that messed with the readings. Scouring them a bit took the coating off and they worked fine after that.

    Vapezilla~~VID

Yet another less-than stellar video review: YouTube - VAPEZILLA (the clean edit) It looks like out of the half-dozen or so that have actually shipped, at least two were effectively DOA.

    I want a 5v device

I believe it has a resistor built into the cap that only makes contact when the cap is in a certain position. A resistor isn't as good as a regulator, but it sorta works.

5V RIT (Regulator In a Tube)

Weird. I've technically made three of these (or to be more accurate, assembled the same one three times in two different tubes) and didn't have any problem with shorting anything out. Are you using the same regulator I used? Are you sure your putty/thermal compound is not conductive? Don't...

    Vaping Superstore.

Madvapes sells a bit of everything, including mod parts (which hardly anybody carries). If you had to pick just one store to shop from, they're probably your best shot. Plus, only $3 shipping (free for orders >$25).

    Too many mods *sigh*

Both stock 510 batteries and the ego run at 3.2V.

Initial review of the Mr. Puffer

Mine showed up today and I ordered almost exactly two weeks ago. Two weeks seems to be the norm. I've only been using mine for about 15 minutes, but I have to say that the "made with care" motto is accurate. This is a pretty simple device with only a few parts, but everything is assembled...

    "Live" chat always dead?

The chat here is IRC based, and IRC has its own way about it. Most people who use IRC have a dedicated client and just leave it on all the time in the background. The people logged in aren't necessarily watching the chatroom all the time and waiting for somebody to say something.

what is the best 5v mod?

My personal favorite is 901 attys at 5V (about 6.5-7W). I agree that burning out attys in less than a week is a PITA, but I know a few people that won't even consider anything less than ~10W on their setup. It's all about what you prefer. If you need massive TH and vapor to enjoy vaping (as...

Where Can I Get A......? Adjustable Voltage??

I believe those are the only two variable mods available at this time. Both have received excellent reviews. The fistpack will go longer between charges, doesn't require tools to adjust the voltage, and has built-in USB charging/passthrough functionality. The buzz is cheaper, smaller, and...

what is the best 5v mod?

Thanks. It was missing the 3.2V battery voltage as well, as when it was made, most people still thought that standard 510 batteries ran at 3.7V. The red and gray shaded cells are too high (>13W) and too low (<2.5W) respectively. If you're interested, the source spreadsheet is available in...

what is the best 5v mod?

Standard 510 batteries are regulated down to about 3.2V. There is a slight but noticeable improvement with a true 3.7V device. The "sweet spot" is different for different people. Some prefer around 6W, others prefer it in the 10W range. You won't know your personal preference until you try...

Where Can I Get A......? Screw on Resistance Mod

You can always make your own. It's not particularly difficult and it works great. You'll need two 3.7V batteries instead of two 3V batteries though, since the regulator has a 1.3V dropout.

510 5V Passthrough with 2A USB Power Supply

These 5V PTs hit much harder than a standard 510. It's a totally different vaping experience. One thing to watch out for though - It occasionally goes into some sort of weird mode. Twice now it has stayed on after I released the button, and kept on until I unplugged it. After plugging back...
