    Thanks! The cutout is with a 2.3ohm joye brand 510 atty at 4.15V and higher, loaded. The batteries seem healthy... they work fine in a single cell unregulated box... the two I tested with read 4.06V tested separately.

    I grew up on stratocasters so they feel natural to me I guess. I have some old burn spots on my amps... hated it when it happened but now the tolex and tweed is getting pretty beat from gigging with them and it's just part of the character.

    Thanks for checking the layout for me! The op has been updated. Sure enough the zener was backwards... I also moved the LED. I'll play with the zener value when I get this thing put together... As is the zener should stop conducting when less than 6.6V is applied to it, or am I missing...
