    What wire to buy?

Nothing obvious making it a joking. In fact, nothing at at all indicating it's a joke. And I've seen too many people here and IRL casually dismissing ADHD (among other things) as not being real to simply ignore such posts. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

I'm quite sure that wire isn't useable in tc. The NR ends are simply there to protect the rubber grommit from burning, it won't heat up noticeably. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

I prefer simple coils, dual twisted 28ga maximum, so I don't have problems with the Wismec firmware. I tried Arctic Fox on one of my rx200, but it wasn't for me. I actually prefer the Wismec/Eleaf/Joyetech firmware, but I'm weird in other ways as well... [emoji3] Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

NR-R-NR wire is great for coil heads that hold the leads in place with a rubber grommit. You won't risk burning the grommit as the NR part of the wire won't heat up (much). As for a tc mod kicking you out of tc mode. Mods that do that usually kick you into a low wattage setting. It is to...

    Wotofo Sapor RTA

No worries using an rta on a mech. You're confusing two separate issues. 1) it's not suggested to use a tank with pre-made coil heads on a mech - because the positive and negative leads are usually separated only by a thin rubber gromit and you'll have a hard short if that gromit fails, 2) faux...

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

They will identify a tc capable coil by noting a rise in resistance as the coil heats up, and many mods will kick you out of tc if the resistance doesn't increase (or if it doesn't increase fast enough - here's the root of the problem many wismec mods have with complex coils in tc. The wire mass...

Smok AL85 - "Check Battery" message

On the negative side it wouldn't be too much of a problem (though it probably wouldn't be the best for conductivity) but on the positive side there's real risk of bridging the positive and negative and thus shorting the battery. Not a good idea. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Help my son in vaping underaged

Spanking only would've made my childhood insecure and made me fear my parents. Not a good thing, and fear is completely different from respect. The suggestions that spanking might in any way help a potentially unstable and suicidal teen is beyond disturbing. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

    SINUOUS P80

My Alien had a cutoff around 2.8-2.9v (Djlsb saw the same in his test), and from tests of the al85 with early/original firmware I believe the cutoff was closer to 3.5v (I've never owned the al85 though, so I have no personal experience of it). Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Revenger X charge method an clock questions

I insert a fresh set of batteries every time I remove the old set for charging. Good to have spare sets of batteries anyway. The Revenger supposedly has OK balance charging, but from the one or two times I've charged through the USB I seem to remember that the mod got a bit warmer than I'm fully...

    SINUOUS P80

If I remember correctly the Al85 has (at least it originally had) an unusually high low voltage cutoff. In stark contrast to the Alien 220. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

Fasttech regularly has lacking descriptions. I'm just reasoning here, but it's more likely that FT has an incomplete description than it not being the most common wire used in vaping. Of course, I don't know for sure, and I'm no expert in metallurgy so I couldn't even start to guess what the...

Question about welded wire from FastTech, NR-R-NR?

Technically none of the wire we use is kanthal as we don't use the kanthal brand, but FeCrAl is the alloy that we use as "kanthal". It's very, very likely that this wire is the same. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk

Tcr for 316L on aegis mod

There should be a ss tc setting. Those are commonly set for ss316l wire. You shouldn't need to set up a separate tcr unless the pre-programmed ss setting is off. Sent from my Thor E using Tapatalk
