Set the temperature to 420 Fahrenheit, wick with new cotton, and check if the tc will prevent the dry cotton when firing the mod. If the cotton remains undamaged the settings should be close enough.

According to the specs the mod will fire a coil up to 5 ohms in vw. So coils above 1.3 ohms will fire, but not be useable in tc mode.

All that depends on having ridiculously accurate resistance readings (which the devices we have available are not capable of) and brand new batteries without diminished cdrs due to age and wear. An ideal situation that doesn't really occur in real life.

Please don't recommend potentially dangerous builds for single battery mechs, particularly not to people who are new to mechs.

Mods with DNA boards (a chipset made by Evolv) all do tc (since the DNA 40 which came out a few years ago), and they do tc very well. Evolv is the company that introduced temperature control.

Sorry, but no. The higher the amp rating on the wall adapter (the actual charging circuitry is inside the mod) the better. A wall adapter rated too low will overheat and might fail. Using a USB port on the computer is a bad idea. If something goes wrong there's risk of damaging the motherboard...
There are no 18650s with a cdr higher than 30 amps. For 30 amps you have the LG hb2/4/6, and you'll be limited to 1500 mAh.

It's fully possible to overstress the batteries in a regulated mod. One should always keep the wattage within the limitations of the batteries, anything else is taking unnecessary risks.

The 510 on the gen3 is totally redesigned though. The depth and travel of the pin are supposedly great so the problems some have had with previous versions should be gone. The 510 is grounded through the case rather than with a lead so that might be a negative for some.

Innokin SVD, although that was my first wv mod (and first upgrade from Ego styles) so I don't know if it counts. I seem to remember that my clone Hana 30w box was the first proper upgrade after that.

I'd suggest that (if you really prefer to not use an external charger) you use a wall adapter instead of a USB port on the computer. If something goes wrong and you're unlucky you might blow out the USB port and damage the motherboard on the computer. Much cheaper to replace a USB wall adapter...
