Indeed, the tc on the Alien is subpar. I really like Wismec/Joyetech/Eleaf mods, though many criticise them. For me, their tc is great. In fact, I prefer them to my one DNA 200 mod (which is made by Wismec however). My five rx200 were my go to mods for a long while but nowadays my Wismec... -
Eleaf iStick "pico"
The al85, at least with the original firmware, has several downsides to the Pico. High cutoff voltage, shoddy tc. It'll fit 25 mm atties, but so will the Pico 25. After my experiences with the Smok Alien I wouldn't get an al85. Sent from my K6000 Pro using Tapatalk -

Those are definitely not 40 amp batteries. Rewraps with highly inflated specs, possibly no higher than 10 amps (check if Mooch has tested those batteries). You might be pushing or exceeding the capabilities of them. Buy only authentic, high-drain batteries by Sony, Samsung, or LG, from a trusted... -

I've only ever had mods made in China and in more than four years only one of them has failed (a Koopor Mini). And I have many. Ijoy Captain PD270 - 20700 dual battery
I'm sure the Captain won't temp control kanthal or nichrome coils (only Hohmtech mods do that do my knowledge) so I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps the display is showing the mod doing some sort of tc, but the tcr of those materials is far too low for any proper temp control to be possible... -
