Forget about resistance and go by coil mass and heat flux. Certain wires have a very low resistance, but they will vape pretty equal to a coil if higher resistance wire as long as the wire gauge, coil id, and wrap count is identical (at the same wattage of course).

Problem with the ce4-type clearos is that it's very easy to overheat the e-liquid and potentially create bad side products with them. They are indeed outdated. Sure, better than smoking, but overall it's good that they're phased out.

Indeed. But Panasonic and Sanyo are pretty much the same company, right? And Aspire manufactures their cells, and some other smaller players as well. As to who actually manufactures cell sizes other than 18650s, I'm clueless.

Ok, so if I'm understanding you correctly your point was to use batteries within their specification, not to exceed their rating?

Those are good batteries, but don't buy from Amazon or EBay. Many fakes. Buy only from trusted vendors (I use nkon and akkuteile in Europe, americans here on the forum should be able to recommend trusted vendors over there).

All Efests are rewraps, Efest doesn't manufacture batteries. Sony, Samsung, LG, and Panasonic are battery manufacturers, nearly all others simply rewrap b- or c-bin cellsc by them.

That was written more than two years ago. Battery technology and vaping habits have changed. Sure, the cdr is sufficient for lower wattage vaping, but the chemistry of the batteries isn't the best/safest.

The circuitry draws more current from the battery, converting what the battery can provide into a higher voltage.

Brand-name and high discharge (bought from a trusted vendor). Sony, Samsung, and LG have low discharge, unsafe(r) chemistry 18650s as well.
