    Inside the Drunker Tank

I have had no leak isues at all with my drunker. I'm actually boring the wick holes to make it a little leaky for better coil saturation. I'll rebuild it later today and let ya know how it goes. I think what type of wick you use has a lot to do with how leak proof the wick holes/slots are in...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Since I noticed that thinner resistant wires seem less likely to burn cotton and now I have a nr wire to rw welder, I ordered up some 36 awg kanthal for some experimenting.

Just make sure you let juice soak into your wick for at least an hour before vaping it (if you're using cotton balls).

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

The fujifilm flash circuit as is seems to hold plenty of juice for good welds ( 120uf 330v cap). I use 32 awg pure nickel nr wire and have welded 33 awg to 30 awg kanthal with solid welds. I have been getting pretty accurate results just by counting one one thousand two one thousand and so on...

I would be extremely careful with the ceramic, they break very easily. I already broke one that JD sent me just trying to take it apart. I think I'll use the broken one I have to test to see if there is a way to grind the slots wider.

I'm going to use my proxxon rotary tool, I have a full set of different size/shape diamond burrs. I love those diamond burrs, I've used them to work on wood, rock, glass, metal and they still hold up.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Rebuilt an extra atty head, saturated in juice and stuck it in a tupper ware container (for vivi nova). So after a week of vaping when it's time to change wick and coil I'll stick this atty in and will have fully expanded/absorbed.

I think I'm going to bore the wick holes a little wider sometime today. I've been having singe problems when chain vaping so a wider wick hole should fix the problem. Will report back with the results.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Glad to hear your success. The candle wick is tightly weaved so it will be quite a bit different than the gauze, just let it soak for a few hours.

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

Yeah I'm still vaping on the large batch I mixed, probably around 60-70ml batch. The cold steep long term method seems to work well but I could not tell a difference between the instant hot steep. Five seconds in the microwave = 2 weeks of cold steep ( 5 seconds so it doesn't boil or burn). I...

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

Bapgood, have you came up with best voltage numbers for different gauge rw's?

That is more of a personal question, some like one better than the other. That being said most find Kanthal more to our liking. One isn't better than the other, they are just different alloys with different properties. Main difference being nichrome alloy has lower ohm resistance than kanthal...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Let us know how the pre woaking goes, I'd be interested in seeing the results. I have thought about it before as well, it would work very well for vivi novas because you could just rebuild the head and soak but others I imagine would be tricky. I'm down for any type of experimentation, best way...

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

Just seen those little strong tupperware containers just happen to be the exact size as the flash circuits and they were 8 for a dollar lol.

Made another more compact. I really like how it turned out, I named it sparky.

Let me know how they work out for ya as I have never played with them, only tried splicing.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

I use thinner awg rw than most. Vaping 33 awg kanthal, 1.8ohms at 3.2-3.7 volts has been my best results. The heat time response is instant and creates clouds of vapor fast without any burning at all (nor singeing). I have noticed the thicker resistant wires take longer to heat up and tend to...

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

Just picked up four more disposable cameras to make some nicer welders or maybe a more powerful one for spot welding mods. May do a tutorial later.

A new game... can you spot the spot weld? lol

Here is my nr-rw welder, not the prettiest thing I built but works just great and yes that is a sandwhich container lol. The two wires in the second pic are both 1 and 1/4" inches 33 awg kanthal rw with pure nickel welded legs at 1.8ohms each (what I have in my drunker and both vivi novas). The...
