    I managed to fry exactly one battery with a vision vivi nova, but it was my impatient fault for rebuilding one and slapping it in there without checking for shorts. Lesson learned.

    That's all well and good when OP needs new batteries, but i doubt that s/he'll want to wait for a seperate shipping time and gaze longingly at his vamo in the meantime. though why a vamo "kit" wouldn't come with at least one battery is a mystery for the ages.

    well the "18650" part is referring to it's size, and the Vamo says it takes that size. And generally you use "high drain" batteries in those sorts of devices. As for the neeple top, i don't know why they sometimes have them and sometimes don't. maybe someone who actually owns a vamp will chime in.
