I have the Steam Machine with the Gini update and it works great! Does not hold much juice and is small but well worth it. I do not use it in VST mode because I have a GUS Aiolos which is basically the same thing and does not use both types of wires. Plus it tends to leak out of the bottom in...
I have 12 tanks and rebuildables all with a different flavor in them... when I leave the house I take two devices and 3 tanks. Never know when a carto or battery could fail.
I have a Efest 18500 in my ProVari and IMO it performs better than an AW. But yes if that were to fail and damage my ProVari, they would not cover it under warranty. So I only use them while my AW's need a charge. I am not sure about the protected battery? I see you got a better answer directly...
I cut my wick at the loop so there is 4 wick ends and a bit longer than the pic but not much. I use 32 gauge kanthal and do a 4 wrap coil. Maybe gonna do a 5 wrap coil next time?

I personally do not find it annoying... I actually like hearing it.. lets me know I am getting a hit (mentally).. I do not mind the delay after releasing the button either. Overall I love this device. I also saw those Osc-scope tests and at one point he even said it is very close to the ProVari...
I seen a new test done on a Osc scope on the V2 and it is actually more accurate under a load stacked.... this was the results from last nights Vape Team Live show..

With the RMS function ON, I vape at 9 watts with both LR or SR Boge's. It also depends on your ejuice and what you prefer. With some juices I vape at 10 watts..
That's why I purchased a Zmax V1,, not acurate so I got the V2 and it is accurate and I like it a lot, but for whatever reason I feel that I get a smoother more flavorful vape from my ProVari set at the same settings (wattage) with the exact same carto and juice. Maybe it is just in my head? lol
