    OK... been lurking I'm good but I'm BAD... OLD but I'm new!!

    Nice subject. :) Welcome to ECF. Now just individually thank at least the first four who welcome you here and you'll have the five posts necessary to post in other forums. That'll happen at :25 after the hour when the server updates.

    What do you have to do with new atomizers or tanks you get?

    First thing I do with a new atty, whether I'm going to use it or put it away, is check it on one of these. They typically only come with a DOA warranty and you need to get any defectives replaced as soon as you get the order. This is also important to ensure it isn't shorted if you're going to...

    Made In USA.

    The best tanks are made in America. The best "heads" for them are made in Greece. :D

    $300 budget, I want the best possible vape I can get.

    Any atty that has bottom-fed capability (drilled 510) should work on a REO. There's a thread about what works in the REO forum. For the fat ones, you'll want a Low Profile REO with the catch cup milled off. Since I use disposable attys sometimes, I prefer the catch cup. Cartomizers will work on...

    $300 budget, I want the best possible vape I can get.

    In spite of my purchase walk-through for the OP above, the only mod that leaves home with me is a rugged tumbled raw aluminum REO Grand. The 18650 lasts through a 6 ml bottle of juice, which for me is 16 hours. That's in a tiny package smaller than a pack of cigarettes that rides out of sight in...

    Sooo I want a drip atty now...

    Good advice. Since I don't know what juice I'll use in it next time, I keep a 6 ml dropper bottle of unflavored next to my gear and use a drop of that. It comes in handy for lubing o-rings too. edit to add… Pluid gets its own dedicated atty. :D

    Sooo I want a drip atty now...

    Tips… Measure the resistance of each atty as soon as you get them. They only have a DOA warranty. I clean them with pure grain alcohol (Everclear) but vodka will do. Some use isopropyl. Let 'em dry. I don't advise dry burning as a new user. After cleanings, install on the mod and load...

    Sooo I want a drip atty now...

    These and the 1.5Ω versions, are what I use with a drip tip. Some prefer the warmer vape of the 306. IMO, a true dripping atty has the coil directly below the drip tip (so you can drip a couple of drops on it) and no more wick than is necessary to fill the coil. Long wick tails and "bowls"...

    Why does it seem like not too many people buying juice feeders and are using tanks ? Why tanks??

    At one extreme, you have the disposable atty, the Holy Grail of vaping flavor, including the debridged Joyetech 510 as well as the Cisco HH357. It's no more than a couple of drops of fresh, uncooked juice on a coil directly below the drip tip, with no more wick than it takes to fill the coil...

    Why does it seem like not too many people buying juice feeders and are using tanks ? Why tanks??

    Your REOs are now colloquially known as "bottom feeders." Those who own REOs are known as "reonauts" (like astronauts). Reonauts refer to those who don't own a REO (have naught a REO) as "reonaughts." You can catch up on what's going on in the REO world in the Reos Mods vendor sub forum here...

    $300 budget, I want the best possible vape I can get.

    Does your $300 have to cover batteries (I recommend at least 3) and chargers (I certainly recommend a backup)? If so, you're at about $225 to spend on mod and juice delivery device. The mod is like the amplifier in a stereo setup and the juice delivery device is like the speakers. There's no...

    Simple Question. How Many mg of Nicotine in 1ml of 12mg Nicotine?

    This. The rating of nicotine concentration is in units of mass per unit of volume. The percentage depends upon the density of the material. The standard density of water (specific gravity 1.0) is 1 gram (1,000 mg) per milliliter and that's what's used for our purposes. 100 mg/ml is 10% of the...

    Bought a new Nitecore i4 last week. Dead already

    Early failure in electronic devices is called "infant mortality." It's not common, but they're all subject to it. I have three NiteCore chargers, one as a spare, not plugged in where a power surge could damage it. I ran it as my primary for over three months to get it past this before packing...

    By Leo : Attys, mods, Drip-tips, tanks [CLOSED}

    Yeah, I have four of the original Reomizer 2.0 attys. They work very well and are dead simple to use. I was just trying to see if the Sophia would work closed and tankless on the REO like a disposable atty. It just occurred to me it might work better without wick tails.

    Anybody still using carto tanks!?

    If you can wrap one of those thin wires out of a bread or produce bag tie around a 1/16" drill bit, you can wrap a micro coil. Just get you some 30 gauge Kanthal, torch it with a cigarette lighter, and wrap.

    All my tanks suck! Please help!

    You can pay more, you can buy fancier, but you can't buy better than IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us! They're a long term investment. You can use them with cartos at the beginner level, and later graduate to high-end carto-sized RBAs such as the Sophia.

    Anybody still using carto tanks!?

    Partially because of Vapeaggedon, but mainly for the flavor, I'm replacing my cartos with ByLeo.eu Sophia RBAs in my IBTanked carto tanks. Used with the flow control closed and tankless, they're as close to my bridge-free Empire Mods 510 attys as I've found. Used in a carto tank, they blow...

    By Leo : Attys, mods, Drip-tips, tanks [CLOSED}

    It seems like it would, but I didn't have much luck with it. The REO works fine for electrically powering the Sophia for dripping, but even a small squonk seems to flood the Sophia. Where it seems not to be working is the bottle expanding after a squonk isn't evacuating the atty like it does on...
