The Sophia Rebuildable Atomizer by Leo **Discussion & Tips**

I know you ask those who have an SnP tank and I don't. But I use the IBTanked tanks and ByLeo straight drip tips, and I don't even take the drip tip off to refill--just close the juice flow control, slide the top of the tank up past the drip tip and push it to one side, and fill with a dropper...

Sophia 1 - ordered 12/12 arrived 12/21 Sophia 2 - ordered 12/22 arrived 01/06 Both work fine with my 50/50 right at one turn open. Air control 1/2 way open as received from the factory with 1.8Ω. May open it more with lower resistance. So far I'm trimming my cotton wick ends just a tad shorter...

    Worst day ever!

For every IBTanked I buy, I also buy a spare glass tube. For me, a spare is a talisman. I only need it if I don't have it. talisman - a mystical object with supernatural power to prevent the need for replacement of the object it's an image of :D

Need Suggestions on a Drip Atomizer

Get a couple each (primary and backup) of the following (and a good 510 drip tip if you don't have one) Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.5ohm Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.8ohm Measure them on your ohmmeter as soon as you get them. The only warranty on them is DOA. Hold them plumb (vertical in...

Subohm Safty - 17 amp fuses coming soon

As always with these, there's the question of whether the mod tube(s) is/are long enough to accommodate them in addition to the battery length.

    Recommended coils for Youde AGA-TD?

What is the maximum continuous current rating of that Efest 18350? What is the voltage across the paralleled coils (positive terminal to a negative terminal) when you fire it? You are drawing Voltage/Resistance = Current when firing it. How does that compare to your battery rating? Voltage...

self punched carto's burning with new inner o ring's on a phiniac tank

It sounds like two problems. The first is probably you aren't thoroughly priming your cartos. I also use the condom method. The second is your punching is probably damaging the carto and causing excessive o-ring wear. To confirm that, get some laser-punched or laser-slotted and try those...

I've only made two coils of Stormy's 1.8Ω (normal length) ready wire and had no problem with either. I also have their 1.2 and 1.5 but haven't used them yet. Thanks for the heads up, though.

A note of caution when flying with a RM2......

This is also a problem with clearomizers, carto tanks, or rebuildable tank atomizers--any tank/bottle where the air pressure in the tank can't equalize with that outside without expanding. On a REO, loosening the bottle cap should allow that. On other tanks/RBAs with top fill holes...

FWIW, I have an STR5 on the Sophia that's in a 35 mm tank and a STR15 on the Sophia in a 45 mm XL tank. That gives an almost identical mouthpiece on each one. The STR15 works nicely, both as a grip to turn the main tube and to seal the tank while removing the atomizer base with the 45 mm tank.

The Sophia Rebuildable Atomizer by Leo **Discussion & Tips**

    Sophia 2 arrived a bit ago at -6ºF! She's now wearing a STR5 in a 19 x 35 mm stainless and glass IBTanked, and fits in one side of a plastic two-battery 18500 case. Sweet! Sophia 1 is wearing a STR15 in a similar 19 x 45 mm IBTtanked. Sisters! :D

    Old School Carto Tank Fellas

Although I still carry a rugged REO Grand when on the go, carto tanks (on a mech) have become my primary at home solution now that I don't have to use cartos in them! The Diver, Killer 705, and particularly, the Sophia, have really taken carto tanks to the next level. ...and you can't...

    What is the Sophia?

First, since you've never used a carto in a carto tank, I'll offer this. While it is certainly possible to fill a carto-equipped carto tank without a tank tool, such a tool as the IBTanked drip tip/tank tool or Slap Yo Mama tank tool, makes it easier. Most carto tank users probably use a tool...

    What is the Sophia?

You got it. And it is ingenious. It's 45 mm long. If you're using it in a 35 mm tank, 10 mm of it protrudes to let you turn the tube and all you need is a bare minimum drip tip such as the STR5 to finish off the top. If you use it in a 45 mm tank, you'll need a straight, tubular drip tip of...

    Carto tank question

You can remove and trash the little donut if you are using a drip tip. It's in there for those who don't, for example, on a cigalike.

    What is the Sophia?

There are cut-outs in the threaded part of the base. When you unscrew the main tube (opening the flow control), these cutouts are exposed and juice flows into them, up to the wick. The more you unscrew it, the greater the juice flow. One complete turn from fully closed works well for most folks...

2.9 charge level on battery, is this allright?

Both the depth of discharge and the time spent discharged affect battery life. Here's a tip. Size your juice delivery device (i.e. carto tank, etc) so that when it's empty, the battery is about at the level you want to recharge it--smaller tanks for smaller capacity batteries. For me, that's...
