    Need some suggestions for punching.

Happy New Year, Jake! I've got a punch but have never used it. I've been happy with the Boge laser-slotted LR cartos I've gotten from SureVapes, using mostly lightly flavored DIY 50/50. I got some slotted ones from Ikenvape and sure can't tell any difference. I'm not using cartos much since...

    Will the glass crack if

Pluid can swell o-rings and other plastics. I've seen one case where a thinner glass tube was cracked by this and I've also read of one member not being able to get the end caps off a thicker glass tube. Not only did it swell the o-ring in my REO bottle, but it also caused the feed tube to...

What will you be vaping at midnight?

I hadn't thought about it... glad you brought it up. Maybe I'll break out the Pluid and drip a bit of that.

To tank or not to tank? What's your setup?

All a carto tank does is add juice capacity to a carto and help keep it consistent. The question is whether a 3.3V, 650 mAH eGo can handle a carto, and the answer is yes for a "low resistance" (1.7 - 2.0 Ω) carto. Before investing in a tank, you may want to try an unpunched, untanked carto to...

Smileomizers - what am I doing wrong?

I don't know about smileomizers, but AFAIK, they're just big cartomizers. I have juices (NETs) that can clog a carto in as little as six hours use. Dark, thick, sticky juices are hard on cartos. They also require more rewicking and dry burning in RBAs. And I have lightly flavored 50/50 that'll...

Cigar smoking (still) but I'm vaping constantly

You're far from the only one. I don't inhale anything into my lungs. I started vaping with no intent of never smoking what's in my coolidor. I didn't find the cigar experience with vaping until I went to a REO Grand with a sub-ohm coil in the Reomizer 2 RDA. With these, and 24 mg/ml juice, I can...

To tank or not to tank? What's your setup?

Your current setup is a good glass clearomizer, the ProTank. The step up from this is a cartomizer, optionally one punched or slotted for a tank. The slotted are better for thicker juices. Many of us buy our cartomizers from SureVapes.com, where fresh stock at good prices combines with fast...

advice on good pv for taking out for the day

I don't leave the house without a REO Grand and Reomizer 2 RDA. With a 6 ml bottle and 18650 inside a tiny package much smaller than a pack of cigarettes, hidden away in a back pocket, I'm set for 15-16 hours. Built like a tank. No big clearomizer or carto tank on top to crack or break off if...

M first order from Alien Visions. Help me be patient.

Sorry to hear it isn't working out for you. The main reason I recommended it for you was to only need a few drops to see how steeping was coming along. You've got a good atomizer, and dripping is worth pursuing further. In that few vapes of each dripping can be the best flavor you can get out of...

M first order from Alien Visions. Help me be patient.

There are multi-year veterans here who vape nothing but the original Joyetech 510 atomizers (the middle part of a "3 piece e-cig") -- some without debridging them. Bridges are more forgiving for a new dripper. My technique is to use no more than 4 drops the first time, and 2-3 drops per...

This is why you need a 306 or 510 disposable atomizer to drip into.

    Nichrome vs. Kanthal

For a given resistance, you'll need to use more length of the thicker (lower number) gauge wire, so it gains mass in both cross-sectional area and length. More mass equals slower heat up. However, this also increases the wire to wick to juice contact area, spreading the heat over a larger area...

Anyone using a Sophia with an IBTanked on their Provari?

Don't wait too long. The By Leo gear is on sale for 10% off with code XMAS1314 until January 7th. The Sophia comes with a pre-wrapped LR coil/cup, spare ceramic cup, and a red sliicon o-ring. I vaped the pre-wrapped coil and it was good--silica good. I wrapped a 1/16" coil on a drill bit from a...

    Carto tank on a mech?

IMO, you probably don't need a kick to go all day with a 2000 mAH AW IMR 18650 in a mech. Until I got the Sophia, I used cartos in my IBTanked carto tanks. Cartos are okay, and IMO better than clearomizers, but not up to RBAs. However, nothing leaves my house except a REO Grand with 18650 and 6...

    Nichrome vs. Kanthal

For any given gauge, nichrome 60 is lower resistance per inch than Kanthal A1. I find the nichrome gives a sharper, crisper, maybe tangier vape, with Kanthal being smoother. The only place I use it (26 AWG) is on an 8-wrap 1/16" micro coil to get 0.5Ω instead of 0.6Ω.

    Pyrex RSST/Affordable RBA/RDA

First, let me note I don't personally own any of these, so hopefully you'll get something back from someone who does. I did read all of Kidney Punchers T2 description, especially: Seems like one would be taking a chance with it. You'd also lose the beginner safety features of the RSST, such as...
