I'm picking up some initial indication in this thread the P3 may adjust the "empty" voltage a little based on the battery size and condition (via IQ). Bigger/better batteries with lower impedance will drop less under load and that's especially important at the end of the charge. Of course, it... -

Prior ProVari owners (not me) are used to seeing nothing more than raw, resting battery voltage, after pressing the button eleven times to Check Battery (Cb). They could subtract 3.2 (empty) from that, and multiply the result by 100 to get an approximate battery percentage remaining. Now they... -

Just a tip: Running the OLED at the lowest brightness that works for you and your environment can extend its life. I'm running on level 1 and it's adequate for me. Of course, turning it off except for menu use helps a lot there as well. -

The accuracy of the battery meter on the ProVari 3 depends upon the quality of the battery and connections. Select either A up or A down from the menu and watch the results. The last one will be input quality (IQ), and with new high-quality batteries, it should be reading in the nineties...
