    Here's a helpful hint for next time. A rubber band between the screw and the screwdriver. The rubber will grip both of them and give you a bit more bite.

    It looks like your wick is huge. Is there any room between your wick, and the sides of the wick hole? I would start with 2" of mesh (lengthwise) and pull out the plug in the fill hole. If that works then you can up your mesh from there. I run 2" of 500 mesh in mine with the fill hole plug...

    The MVP would be my recommendation as well, if you looking for a box type mod. If you want a tube mod, the Vamo would be the way to go, and you can find a kit for right around your $50 max. I would spring for the stainless steel Vamo though, if that's the way you go.
