Checkin' in on the post thingey this mornin. Well, I got out 2 pair of my needle nosed pliers and went after the negative shorter post on the thing. I would guess I rotated the post 15-20 degrees maybe to get the wire hole pointing just to the left of the squonk hole. I previously removed the... -

Yep, the pipe wrench and a bigger hammer. lol. Somewhere I'll find my 18 and 19 ga. needles and give those a try if they'll fit the post holes that is. My 16 ga. blunt needles are too big a diameter. That failing I'll try the pliers. Just don't want to bust the ceramic base material... -

Well, here's a pic. of my VVGrand with an RM2 with 1.6 Ohm, 30 Kan wire and firing at about 3.8 volts. Works very nice with cotton wick, when the wick is in it of course. The left post, though, is skewed enough that I have difficulty aligning the coil close to the squonk hole and such. I... -

Hey Donnah, I still have 2 Old Goats that work, use them occasionally with my RM2s, had to trim down the drip well edges as I recall. But, for $25 the Old Goats were pretty good deal I think. Just an aside. -

I'm not good at electronics at all. But I'm wondering what the term for the circuit in the VVGrand is called? A 'Step-Down Circuit' or what? I kinda need to know so's I can begin to understand these devices. Thanks. -
