The 3D is more of a novelty piece, IMO. I have one and rarely use it. For the price, there's better atties out there but I understand the why you would want one.
I haven't research the stillare that much. Does the gold plating hold up over time?
I just wicked it as I would with cotton, just a normal bend down into the juice well. I figured since this material moves liquid faster and easier, I took a little bit of Tencel and loosely packed it on each side of the wick.
I don't see any reason that you couldn't use some fine grit sandpaper (wet) and a Scotch-Brite pad on the inside of the afc ring and the outside of top cap to fix the problem.
Edit: oops, didn't see the above post.
You guys are making it way more complicated than it needs to be.
Just make your wick around the size it needs to be. Put pg/vg on it before you put it in the coil because it shrinks when wet. Make it so it fits in the coil easily. Not to tight when it's wet because it will burn. If it's to...
Silver polish isn't that abrasive, but I think your right that all are somewhat. I know they market some as non abrasive, but I'm sure it's a sales gimmick.
I didn't even think of that. I would love to see what the the levels of the isotopes in it.
The say they check stuff coming from over there, but who knows. They also raised the allowance levels of isotopes since that craziness.
