    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

L A Poche cures, processes and sells St. James Parish Perique and Accadian Perique. St James is the "traditional", unaduterated Perique descended from the Indians of the area. It is used in tobacco blends at 5 to 15 percent of the blend and when smoked straight, most call it an unpleasant...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

The blends and single varietals offered on pipesandcigars.com are top shelf tobaccos, they just come in a baggie instead of a tin and are consequently cheaper. Most of the extractions I've done came from there and Milan Tobacconists' bulk blends. The one ounce size fits perfectly in a half...

I used this one: Blending - Perique - PipesandCigars.com Since there is only one source of commercially available Perique, they should all be the same stuff.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Paul, I tried gennys for portability for a while. Good flavor when set up perfectly but finicky, leaky, and the bottom half to one third of a tank got nasty from mixing with hot, unvaporized juice. I love the flavor and ease of cleaning/rebuilding a dripper but don't have the time or patience...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

As long as the liquid covers the tobacco you're good to go. It may look like the mix is mostly tobacco but you'll be surprised how much liquid comes out when you strain it.

Bill, I agree your Milan Chartwell is a top shelf vape and would be a good introduction to English blends for home extractors. Not nearly as aggressive or bold and sweeter than more traditional English blends, it is easily an all day vape. Milan Centenary has become my go-to straight English...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

I agree Bill. Good tobaccos are cheap enough. I was going to give you credit for the tobacco degradation observation but didn't want to drag you in if it started a fuss.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Dang killer, that looks pretty rough. I think the original extraction partially breaks down (decomposes?) the tobacco. Stands to reason that a secondary extraction is probably going to contain more particulates. It almost seems a waste to toss the tobacco after the original soak but I think...

What do I need for DIY NET?

Fired up an old Phoenix v5 atty with dual coils, 1 Ω, KGD cotton wicks. Threw in some well aged MOV Southern Gentleman (18 mg nic) and am trying not to vape myself into a nic coma! The v5 with adjustable airflow is the best large chamber atty I've tried for flavor. Southern Gentleman remains...

Indigo just released their new line of Nets and they're having a 20% off sale through the 6th. I tried all of their synthetics at a local vape shop and thought they were decent so I'd speculate their NETs should be good.

I'd say do what works and makes you happy. That's the main purpose of vaping isn't it? Most of the guys running low wattage are using some kind of a tank device and really can't kick it up a notch like you can with a dripper. I run drippers only also, both top and bottom fed, at 16 to 25...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Str8, it definitely sounds promising. My guess would be that method should produce an easily filtered extract and cleaner juice. Funny thing, I have C&D Billy Budd in a PG soak right now! I love two extractions of pipe blends with Maduro in them (Hearth and Home Virginia Spice and Stogie) and...

I haven't tried the Godfather yet. Between my ACID cigar extractions, Bill's most excellent cigar extracts, and three cigars from checkum (now soaking), I'm cigar juice rich. Despite your concern for my lack of originality, my Blondie and Kuba extractions were successful. I have...

Tonight I'm vaping very well aged Vita Bella and have to say it is just divine. My extraction of Milan Tobacconists French Vanilla scatches the same itch but Vita's unique vanilla and mellow tobacco put it in a class all its own. We haven't talked about them much lately but GoodeJuice's NETs...

Sounds like you're getting that process down. I'd be interested in swapping a couple of extracts if you're interested.
