    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

Hepa filters are designed to filter air, not liquids. Would they work? I doubt it at .3 micron retention. Why not use lab filters designed to filter liquids? I ran my last batches through 2.5 micron qualitative lab filter paper and the extracts are very clean. Bill, I may have to order...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Glad you're liking them checkum! The Black Irish X comes in a twist (like a rope) and is primarily Dark Fired Kentucy and dark tobacco from India. It's a very old recipe from a very old company (Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.) and info beyond that is evidently proprietary. It caught my eye on...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Many Virginias do have a citrus note to my taste so I think you're on the right track. Mix small batches and experiment to get it right.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Color of the extract will vary from a very pale yellow to almost black depending on the tobaccos in the blend and extraction method used. Cold macerations tend to yield lighter color extracts than heated macerations. Heating will caramelize some of the sugars in the tobacco blend and make them...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

I agree also! Some blends don't translate to a great vape but most do so it's easy to get lost in that catalog! As more people start extracting good blends, it makes it easier for all of us to trade some flavorful extracts. Glad I could be helpful in getting you started.:)

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

It takes amazingly little KGD to wick well. I'm still using the pad I started on two months ago and I rewick three RDAs daily.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

A quick search of aromatic bulk tobaccos available at pipesandcigars.com revealed 83 blends under "citrus or fruit". I didn't look at the search results as I'm not a fan of fruity tobaccos.

    Battery Vendors

I just ordered a couple of batteries from Mountain Electronics LLC. Their pricing is very competitive and they have a thread on the budgetlightforum where the guys rate them highly and said their batteries are authentic.

The REO Lounge - Part IV

Hi Reonauts! Hope everybody is enjoying the long weekend and remembering those that made it possible! We're going over to a buddy's place tomorrow for some great steaks (he's in the beef business). Sunday, it's three slabs of ribs on the smoker and racing on the tube all day. Monday...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

The additional filtering (2.5 micron) seems to have had little effect on flavor potency and the juice seems to be very clean on coils with minimal gunking. For me, the extra step is worth it but not totally necessary as I run RDAs, top and bottom fed. For tank users, it would be a definite plus.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I extract because I enjoy it, there are a vast number of great tobacco blends available, and I'm a cheap SOB! I don't want to be a vendor as I haven't the patience nor temperament. I do happily share my creations, free of charge, but ask that you be a confirmed NET fan. Send me a PM...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Checkum, I'm with you buddy. Here's what I do. When someone consistently writes a vast amount of rambling, speculative, bloviation, I go tho their profile page and click on "Add to Ignore List". Makes the thread a hell of a lot easier to read! To be fair, I read one post by anyone on that...

I have three of those v5s sitting in a box. Haven't felt the need for duals since I got my Grand but might try it. Did the center pin drill easily?

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Just finished filtering and bottling my last batch, 1 cigar and 2 pipe blends. It took almost two hours but all three dripped through the 2.5 micron lab paper with no vacuum. I did my normal filtering and added this step so it should be the cleanest extracts I've made.
