    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Man I had no idea that "cold maceration" thread I started would ever go anywhere! I venture out into a small number of other threads but fewer as time goes by. Most of my ECF friends are on those threads and here. I'm proud to have been in this thread for as long as I have and I guess if that...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Well said boomer! We posted a lot of stuff in the beginning about different tobacco varieties and tobacco knowledge in general. Don't see that much anymore. We've had many discussions on various aspects of vaping, and in particular, vaping NETs. Sometimes you agree with the consensus...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

If you expect logical or common sense solutions to come from government regulation, you will remain continuously disillusioned.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I agree. I wasn't a big fan of any of the non aros I've tried but they are easily the best synthetics IME.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Ian, your stuff looks great! Glad the filters are working for you. Let us know more when you start mixing. I'm really happy with my last batch of three tobaccos. Two are going to replace some others that I was already pleased with.

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

Drill bit works for me but they're damn hard to keep track of. I have three sets of bits in my truck, all missing 1/16".

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

If I remember correctly, we pretty much wrote them off for a variety of reasons. Any company that lacks transparency has a rough go here; justifiably so IMO. Someone posted in one of the extraction threads recently that they had just found this company and were excited about trying their...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

The company is Tobacco Extracts, website tobaccoextracts.com. I'm pretty sure it was Mr. Mann that contacted them but didn't get anywhere except that their minimum order was large. They seem mostly geared to produce extract that big tobacco adds to cigarettes trying to make cardboard have some...

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

I agree. KGD wicks can be made substantially denser without choking like organic cotton. I keep the tails fairly short on mine to avoid cooking juice.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Simplest, cheapest, easiest for me, and I haven't found anything better for flavor.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I run contact microcoils, wrapped on a 1/16 drill bit. 26 or 28 gauge Kanthal or Nichrome, occasionally Rene 41, .6 to 1.0 Ω. Wicks are Koh Gen Do cotton and very little of it. Usually use two RDAs in a day, dryburn, clean and rewick each daily. This type of setup gets me through 3 mls of...

Anyone use the Samsung 25R Button tops?

I have the Samsung 25R button tops but won't use them in my Grand. They are slightly too long and compress the spring too much. This doesn't leave room for the spring to do its' job. ETA: Great battery otherwise.

    What have you extracted lately?

olderthandirt, (love that, we must be in the same age group). VG extractions have not gone well for most who have tried. It's just too thick to filter well. If you can tolerate some PG but want to keep it to a minimum in your finished juice, try 75% PG, 25% VG to extract with. It will still...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Plastic funnels (from Walmart) that sit atop pint beer glasses. No fancy stuff needed. How's that for sharing (or dharing?)? ETA: Dude, learn how to use spell-check!!!!!!

    What have you extracted lately?

ROFL! Good one! I think when you're looking for something very full flavored, that kind of review is a good clue. If the blend is as intense as we would like it to be, some bad reviews will be there.

    What have you extracted lately?

I extracted Gawith and Hoggarth Black Irish X partly because the description included "not for the timid". It contains a lot of dark fired Kentucky and some dark air cured Indian tobaccos and is twisted into a rope for chewing or smoking. Very interesting, intense, smokey flavor. I find pipe...
