I will never again use a philips on my RM2. I stripped about six screws. Since I started using my 1.4mm flat head about a month ago, I've stripped zero.
Wait... So what is everyone making extras for?
Also, 2nd smallest, you say? Looks like we can retires from dirty paper clips for nano-coils, filthy hobbitses, golem, golem, golem...
I foolishly just purchased it without reading, but I might have to cancel the order. Does it not come with a prong small enough to make micro coils? I typically use a 1/16" drill bit.
Glad you like the rig bud.
I like an airy vape, so both sides of my RM2 cap are drilled to 1/8". It took a lot of trial and error. I think I have 8 RM2 caps total. Granted, I run a 0.24Ω dual coil, so my vape is still a bit warm.
Let's see some pictures!
The spacing/size of coil will not affect the way they heat up. The rate at which they heat depends on the thickness of the wire and the ohmage of the coil set up. Two coils made with the same wire and of the same ohmage, one a contact coil and one a standard coil, should heat up equally quickly...
You kinda have to twist it to get it through. Once it gets wet, it expands and fluffs out a bit. And yes, your wattage estimate is correct. I vape 4mg of nicotine. I would probably cough up blood if I tried anything over 10mg on my build.
I don't think it's the cotton. Did you just start using RBAs? You are aware that you must drop your nicotine level when you move from tanks to RBAs. Too much nicotine will hurt your throat immediately. You may also be placing your coils too high in your build. Higher coils mean more throat hit...
It gets rid of them the same way the other methods do; by isolating the current. Rubbing plastic or rubber or glass would not work because there is no polarization, but squeezing with these materials would work because it causes the coils to contact each other. When the coils make contact with...
There is a one-and-done way to get rid of hot legs, and it's very easy. After installing your coil, dry burn it for a few seconds. While it is still hot (not necessarily still red), take a pair of needle nose or otherwise tiny pliers and clamp the ends of your coil together. This will...
You're supposed to halve your intake when you go from cartos or any other high-ohamge type atomizer to a sub-ohm RBA. I went from 18mg to 10mg. After about two months my throat began to hurt, and my B&M knocked me down to 8mg. After about a month of that, the same thing began happening with my...
A lot of us have modded our Grands to run sub-ohm builds, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not crafty. The kit is due soon. If you are crafty, and you simply can't wait (like me), search the sub for "brass firing pin" and "fuse mod." I run around 0.2Ω with no problems.
