Glad you like the rig bud. I like an airy vape, so both sides of my RM2 cap are drilled to 1/8". It took a lot of trial and error. I think I have 8 RM2 caps total. Granted, I run a 0.24Ω dual coil, so my vape is still a bit warm. Let's see some pictures! -

The spacing/size of coil will not affect the way they heat up. The rate at which they heat depends on the thickness of the wire and the ohmage of the coil set up. Two coils made with the same wire and of the same ohmage, one a contact coil and one a standard coil, should heat up equally quickly... -

You kinda have to twist it to get it through. Once it gets wet, it expands and fluffs out a bit. And yes, your wattage estimate is correct. I vape 4mg of nicotine. I would probably cough up blood if I tried anything over 10mg on my build. -
