Yep, when the GFP was initially released there were sparking issues for people running below 0.4Ω. Someone else in that category may be able to lend their input. Happy to hear you are problem free! -

From that angle, it looks like that coil would make contact with the top cap when the top cap is on. Try putting on the cap and taking off the drip tip. You should be able to see into the atomizer and tell whether or not the coil itself is making contact with the metal top cap. Edit: There... -

Sounds like you know how to build boils. If I had to guess, I would say that your coil is probably rubbing up against metal somewhere in the atomizer. In my experience, the Igo-W has a lot less wiggle room between the coils and the top cap than the RM models. -
