FDA CASAA Blog - copy of letter to OMB/OIRA re PRA & FDA Reg Proposal

I wish I'd added the number of products (and vendors) amongst which I choose before purchasing. That's where the numbers are.

    FDA Re. Potential Flavor Ban

That's how Other Substance rather suddenly became popular among politicians in some states, and the trend is spreading. I'd pay taxes if it were a Provari and my favorite juice being taxed. Wouldn't like it, but that's a trade to be considered, IMHO.

FDA Michael Siegel at TMA: E-cig companies should make "quit smoking" claims.

Nah. "Vape instead" can mean sometimes or always. Ground covered.

I kinda liked "Dear FDA, Please keep your dirty hands out of my humidor." :) :)

    FDA Re. Potential Flavor Ban

That's what I'm thinking. Hoping, anyway. Sometimes the Feds just collapse on an issue if states are pushing back. We're not doing so poorly at that level. Little battle by little battle. Good argument for federalism.

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

For that one I'm deeply, deeply grateful too. And the last thing I meant to do was seem flippant on this particular weekend. I hate to lose our sons and daughters in stupid, ill-advised adventures, and I tend to think of those first; I know some very angry vets. Apologies, Katya, and deepest...

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

That's gonna need a BIG T-shirt... I miss your old sweetly inquisitive bird, though. That one scares me, has flown at the head of too many monstrous crusades. How about an nice fierce owl? :) :) :)

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

Smoking kills. Well, it does. We could argue that for a long time but I think the data's in on that one, and making that dead-in-the-water controversy our focus seems lose/lose to me. A no-brainer. That said, less smoking probably kills less. I understand the games being played around that...

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

That's the thing. Truth to power. Not that truth always triumphs, but it has a way of rising to the surface. And it has sharp elbows, if not always a deep pocket. Sigh. (This is nice clarifying thread, BTW.) Have a wonderful holiday, everyone!

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

Jman8: "All people are going to die, and this causal link toward death thing is NOT something to hang one's hat on when discussing politics of vaping/smoking." Really? Tell that to my mother, who died in my arms with half a lung carved out, still wanting another cigarette. Tell that to the...

FDA Why Isn't Vaping the FDA Center for Tobacco Product's Biggest Ally?

This seems so obviously, transparently, lucidly correct that for me the argument has come full circle and rests. If it's not about cessation, and degrees of cessation, then none of it makes sense to me. I've been reading this forum for years, and the comments of the vast majority of new vapers...

FDA Michael Siegel at TMA: E-cig companies should make "quit smoking" claims.

If a B&M they could always put up a big board - "Sign Here If You Quit Smoking". Web Vendors could have a Quitter's Congrats Page. But that's not the point. The point is that all of this crap is evil and insane. (Sorry, maybe too much time reading these threads.)

The media is cherrypicking, too. Always has. There has be some way to mobilize against that. The most terrible thing in all of this is being voiceless. :-x :-x :-x
