AW is sort of like a brand, they are red and have a little sticker on them that says AW
Those MNKE's are some of the absolute best batteries you could get.. no need to replace them ;)
Ah ok cool :) we're clearing some of the fog now
Those MNKE's are a MUCH better fit for mech vaping, sub ohm or not, than any battery that ends with the word "fire" ;)
The MNKE's are 3.7v batteries and should measure 4.2v +/-.02v coming off the charger
At 1.9ohm you're pulling about 2.2a from...
Hmm.. 4000mAh is definitely.. optimistic.
The PCB's in that battery are rated for 4.1a. If your atty is .9ohm you are pulling about 4.7a and should be tripping them when fully charged. Most good quality 18650 size IMR's are rated for 10a or more. The AW IMR 1600's (18650) are rated for a...
Eh well "protected" batteries are not the best fit for mech/sub ohm vaping. What brand are they?
You should get some proper IMR batteries (AW IMR, MNKE, etc) to go sub ohm like that.
How did you measure your resistance, exactly? With both coils installed if the atty is measuring 1.9 then it's...
This calculator will help you easily determine the amperage you are drawing from your batteries. Plug in 2 of the 4 variables and the calculator will give you the other two. Use the resistance of your atty and the voltage of your battery. It is common to use 4.1v for what we're doing in this...
Taking a guess at your resistance is not safe. Measure it.
What batteries are you using and what is their continuous amp limit (C rating times mAh) ?
Is the measured resistance of your atty drawing amperage in excess of the continuous amp limit of the batteries you are using?
1) photobucket turns my videos upside down too
2) I haven't been able to link them elsewhere either, I've always had to upload them to YouTube for that :(
Just want to reiterate both of these comments.
It's a lot of reading but for anyone that really wants to clear any confusion about how micros work and how to make good ones.. it really is worth the time, and as an added bonus the thread is littered with good humor :p
It doesn't get any better than a cotton stuffed micro coiled RM2 on a REO, imo. I do still have a few tube mods with drippers for various purposes.
If you're wanting to get started and be budget conscious I would suggest dripping for sure. IMO the IGO attys are great and very cheap. The IGO-W...
