I think that's probably what I'll do. If I screw something up, I can get a replacement insulator instead of a replacement positive post. -

Assuming you're running the 1600mAh AW IMR batteries... Unless you plan on surpassing the limits of the AW's amp rating (16 amp continuous discharge, 24.5 amp maximum discharge), I see no reason to spend money on VTC4s or VTC5s. In order stay in safe territory with the 1600mAh AW IMR 18650... -

This was probably answered in another thread already, but my search failed to find it... I've got a top-feed Cyclone with AFC en route. Anything I should know before modding the positive post for bottom-feed? I plan on cutting either one or two channels with my Dremel. I remember reading... -

The BF experiment
Assuming the insulator is of the common variety, silicone and delrin replacements can be found. I have a few laying around. I think I got them from Kidney Puncher. I think these are them: AGA Series Positive Post Insulators - 10 pack - Kidney Puncher -
small issue.
In the future, removing the button and/or button cover isn't necessary to get rid of liquid from the internals. Removing the bottle/tube and Delrin housing inside and giving itall a rinse in warm water will clear out any undesirable gunk. -

I use a needle file for enlarging air holes. Like one of these: I'm able to enlarge the holes very gradually so I can avoid going too big.- FACE MEAT
