Done and done. 28 awg with 14 wraps on a push pin for .4 ohms. Dual jets out of both ends like x-ray bursts from a neutron star.
Clouds...and too much nic even at 6mg.
Trying for a center shot here...and failing.
28 and 30 awg are the best in my opinion. That's all you need for experimenting (unless you want to get into Rene 41 which is a 27 awg monster or Mundy's Magic Wire (tm) which requires .06 x .07 ribbon).
I know of several folks using regular attys with good success.
One of the most popular is the 1.5 ohm from Empire Mods.

More than you'll ever need and cheaper than the 4 o.z. bottle I bought at Home Depot.

Pshaw...If I have extra I'll just give 'em to ya. I have a LOT of old electronics.
Tan and gray (although the gray may be painted on...dunno why they'd do that) and I know I have some black and red from formerly high-end graphics cards but I haven't unearthed them yet. Hopefully they're not...
Thanks, Dibby...much appreciated!:)
Got some multi-colored circuit boards that I've been drooling over. I'll let ya know how they turn out (verbosely and with many pictures).
S!
I've been using MNKEs in mine with no problem (aside from a little Noalox to keep the sparkies in check).
Same battery and same atty gives me a .1 drop on my Magneto and a .5 drop on my Reo. No real performance issues though...I just have to keep the button held down a smidgeon longer.
Then I demand step by step instructions on you how you did it. I have a plethora (indeed a veritible cornacopia) of unused, obselete, and generally unwanted circuitry.
At least I did...not any more. Suddenly, it has a use.
Okay...I'm running some dual itsy-bitsy coils (smaller than wee coils but larger than mega-super-small coils) of 14 (or so) wraps of 28ish gauge at 1.2 ohms nominal but .6 ohms actuarally on my Cyclone with AFC.
Taste and vapor are pheramonal.
So...like...wow...yeah.
That's extremely generous Mr. (or Mrs. as the case may be) Yooper. I'm really enjoying the feel of the carbon fiber. Also, the color changing snake skin wrap is a dark purplish-blue if you're looking for that kind of color. Nothing like what it looks like on the website.
Ditto. While I certainly enjoy my other Reos with RM2s the Cyclone with AFC on my tumbled raw getting 90% of my attention. Dual coils at .6 ohm with 28 awg is pure heaven right now...sigh.
Actually, the point is to get the coil close to the air hole. This increases air flow over the coil and promotes increased vaporization of the e-liquid. Adjusting the height of the coil above or below the air hole can change taste and TH as well. Coil placement can also affect the draw...
Mine has rounded corners. I'd hate to cover up that copper vein. J-wraps sells clear wraps but I didn't see one for the Reo. They will do custom work though. Not sure how a clear wrap would make the copper vein look though.
I gave the reasons but I'll reiterate for clarity.
This is a...
It's nice solid vinyl. I have one on my Provari that has seen heavy use and still looks like the day I put it on.
However, the juice (MVP Black Licorice) I'm using started to melt the finish on my copper vein so I'm hoping this wrap holds up.
For those wondering what they looked like. I didn't like the feel of my polished tumbled and it gathered scratches as easily as fingerprints so I ordered a silver carbon fiber from J-wraps.
It went on easily but be forewarned it doesn't cover the back corners so you'll need to start the wrap...
But what about the flavor, man? What about the flavor!?
It's not necessarily a lack of flavor (although that way my first impression). It's...different...
