    Buckle Up

The RM2 is hanging just over the top of the drip well, though the brass base might be what's keeping it crooked. It's still firing, just did a test and no shorting or anything. I was actually surprised something didn't snap when I dug it out of my console, tough as nails these things.

    Buckle Up

Thanks guys, it took a while to sink in but holy .... was I close to punching out early. So much for playing it super-safe this morning by waiting like 7 hours to sober up completely. I'm probably going to take some Tylenol I got prescribed and catch up on some sleep before I go to my...

    Buckle Up

I got some scrapes from glass, some burns from the airbag, bruises from the seatbelt and my knees got banged up from the dash caving in on me. No one got hurt too badly, though my Mini 2.1 did take some damage at the 510 connection I assume. I tried unscrewing it with my hands earlier and it...

    Buckle Up

On the way home today I got into an accident, completely totaled my car in the middle and I'm just lucky to be alive. Just a friendly reminder to everyone: wear your seat belt. I hated wearing my seat belt, would almost never buckle up, but this morning it seemed a little slippery and I...

    Which drip tip

I've been thinking about getting a wood drip tip. If I had a lathe I'd try making it myself, I think it'd be a fun project.

    Repainting a Reo

I might have to give the clear coat idea a shot, it's already collecting fingerprints. I can't imagine how much more it'd pick up after being polished. Haha looks like it'll have some extra utility then

Not happy with my reomizer and reo grand recent purchase.... :(

안녕하세요 I'd strongly recommend the following: As for the cap, are you screwing it down? It shouldn't fall off easily whatsoever. If you're struggling to get the airhole to match up with the coil, try adding an o-ring to the RM2 so you don't need to screw the whole way to make it tight. Edit...

    Repainting a Reo

Ok so I picked up some sandpaper yesterday and got to work today. Using 320, 1200, and 2000 grit I got this much done in an hour or two of wet sanding. I'm debating whether I put it through a few more runs or if I should just use a polish and see how that turns out. The inside still...

    I raised the bar, Rob

Very cool work man, love the steampunk style you've got going there. One of these days I'll have to break open my first mod and give VV another shot and something like this would be a perfect first build. The only thing I'd probably add is some kind of dark leather in there to really finish...

It ain't pretty, but I made an air flow control ring!

I was actually thinking about making an airflow control ring myself after seeing that thread on the airhole size. I used to rock dual 1/8" airholes but have grown to enjoy the 1/16" airhole on my RM2. One of the ideas I was mulling over was creating a ring or cap, with multiple airhole sizes...

Cartomizer and Ohm meter (black box)

I got one from the Congrevape group buy for $20 shipped. Just came in today. It seems nice, compact and accurate. I hardly measure anymore but I'm glad I don't need to take out the multimeter as much.

    Repainting a Reo

I found some touch-up paint I used on my Civic recently and will give it a try soon. I'll just do a little section to see how the finish and evenness come out and report back. Thanks for the heads up, I don't think I'll be using anything that will require it to be baked like a powder-coat...

    Repainting a Reo

Ok so I've removed all the exterior paint from my Mini and am still debating whether I polish it up and leave it naked or refinish it with some paint and stencil work. If I do paint it, what type of paint would you guys use? Automotive? Also, does anyone have any idea how I could make the...

    "PSYBRID" (pseudo-hybrid) PHASE I

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to order some soon then and hold off on the firing pin for now. An better jig, improved fuse setup and fresh paint job will have to hold me over for now.

Hah thanks a lot man, keep the innovations coming! I'm more than happy doing the idiot check for ya haha

    SPRING? . . . . .. what spring?

I wasn't so concerned that the button touch the body, but that it didn't come into direct contact with both the body and the firing pin, hopefully these blurry pics can help explain it more thoroughly than I can. As for the fuse, the only areas I left exposed are those that need to come into...

    "PSYBRID" (pseudo-hybrid) PHASE I

Do you guys have any pictures of the firing pin and the rest of the liquid feed mechanism all taken apart? I'd like to try my hand at this tomorrow if possible, but I would like to avoid breaking something.

    SPRING? . . . . .. what spring?

Out of boredom and curiosity, I decided to give this a try. I started by getting rid of some of the black wrinkle on the bottom of the cabinet to let the fuse ground, but then I decided I wanted to take it all off. I got about 90% of it off and went ahead with the fuse. I went and grabbed a...
