    A pdib mod :>p

You've got to include the resistance of the atomizer into it. What's being calculated is the vdrop of the mod itself, not the overall voltage loss of the circuit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you calculate vdrop by: (Battery voltage) - [(atty resistance)+(firing voltage)] = vdrop So (4.12v - (0.5+3.06))= 0.56v

Damn maybe I measured something wrong? A simple shim from aluminum foil squeezed an extra 0.32v out for me. The labs weren't ever really my forte in Phys/Chem/Bio though, I was either unnaturally precise or wayyyyy off. Edit: Regardless of my readings, I'm finding that my cotton is drying...

    A pdib mod :>p

Unloaded voltage: 4.12v Resistance: 0.5 ohms Voltage (without Al shim): 3.06v Vdrop (without Al shim): 0.56v Voltage (with Al shim): 3.38v Vdrop (with Al shim): 0.24v DeltaVdrop: -0.32v This was done with a regular aluminum foil, not folded over or anything like that. Cell phone's on...

    A pdib mod :>p

Unable to find brass shim and wanting to try something while I was giving my mini a nice ultrasonic bath and contact touch up, I decided to try an aluminum shim. First I reassembled everything and had a few puffs with it set up regularly. Wow does applying a little noalox after a nice cleaning...

The REO Lounge - Part III

Yep, that was what confused me at first. The spring is fine, but I guess some of the sparks created managed to heat up the firing pin enough to press into the delrin. I'll have to order another button soon I suppose and try and repurpose this one

The REO Lounge - Part III

I'm using the rm2, but I seemed to have misplaced the included o ring. I'm going to head to the hardware store and pick up a variety pack and get it going right, but if I had to guess, I'm over squonking. Also, I took apart my mini and realized I melted the button a bit. Must have done...

The REO Lounge - Part III

Another quick question: How do I know when I need to replace my gasket? Obviously I don't have the right o-ring on just yet, but could that be why my 510 connection keeps flooding?

The REO Lounge - Part III

Thanks man, I'll run by the hardware store and pick up a variety pack. I'll have to grab so noalox and have some keys made while I'm there.

The REO Lounge - Part III

Just curious, I lost my o-ring for my RM2 the other night. Any idea on what size to get to replace it? The one I'm using now is too big and the 510 connection keeps flooding :c

    My Boba's clone

Damn, I'm finally getting started on DIY and wanted to be able to try out the #7 recipe, but unfortunately they seem to be out of the Black and Mile Plus. I guess I'll just wait on the BB clone and get everything for a few other recipes I've been eying.

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

Yep, 0.4 ohms on the spot (can't seem to get my Fluke to go into precise mode at the moment). I used to love going for a cooler vape with huge air holes (had 2x 7/16 on my Igo-W before lol) but I'm loving this with a 1/16th airhole. This Reo just keeps getting better and better!

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

I've heard them too, but I'm just smitten right now. Things were good before. Now, I'm just in heaven. ...though that could just be the clouds

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

My first Nichrome 26g coil, and my mind is simply mush now. I can't comprehend how this tastes so good over similar Kanthal coils. Thanks Pdib for the recommendation, I'm so glad I listened to you.

Every puff is better than the last. I'm about to cry guys, this is unbelievable. MIND BLOWN

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

oh my god. the mail just came in and my 26g Nichrome arrived. Built a quick 7/6 wrap in my RM2, squonked some RY4, and.... I think I'm in heaven, so sweet and flavorful. Blows 28g Kanthal out of the water, just a night and day difference. I can't even take pictures yet, I need to savor this...

you know your a reonaut if...

They were just those little wooden pegs that hold the bookshelf. A few taps from my Reo and they were snugly in place. I imagine I could have Hulk-smashed them in too though :P

    A pdib mod :>p

This seems very interesting. At only 0.0023 ohms of resistance and 20A cutoff point, it'd definitely solve the voltage drop issue while keeping everything nice and safe. I wonder if the anode could be soldered to say a little rectangular plate of brass, secured by a screw like the hotspring...

    A pdib mod :>p

While I'm not sure I want to bypass the spring, I was curious about two things: 1) Would sanding down the paint beneath the hot spring plate help lower the overall voltage drop? 2) Could a brass hot spring and plate be constructed, or would that render the short circuit security useless?
