At 4.2V, a 0.1 ohm resistance will pull 42 amps, well over a Sony US18650VTC3's 30A rating. Even at 3.7V, you're still 7 amps over the limit.
This is just reckless and plain stupid. Your advice is to just not take long draws? What happens if it misfires in your pants pocket and takes your...
I've got an HCigar Chi You clone and a Trident on the way. I really hope the Chi You clone gets here quickly, my Sigelei #13a is really starting to .... out on me.
Almost forgot, my Russian 91% should be on the way in a few weeks. Can't wait to get that!
I like to put mine between a vice and drill straight into it so that it doesn't move or come out weird.
Also, there is a member that likes to do that. He calls it the poopy diaper IIRC.
Good luck man
Considering the Igo-W is cheaper than the Igo-L @ Fasttech, he might as well grab an Igo-W to dip into RDA's and rebuilding in general. It's not like you're forced to build dual coils with it.
I had the same thing happen on a build the other day. I figured I had messed up while wrapping it and abandoned that coil, possibly a slight gap.
Whatever the issue was, it was exactly the same as what you're describing.
Screw it, I just grabbed one. I won't be able to buy a real one for a while anyways, if I ever find one that is.
I hope AKA gets more of the silver plated pins in soon.
Got bored of my twisted 28g single, so I went and tried Xobe's over under.
Coils are ugly but it's hitting pretty well so far. Excuse the shaky webcam pic.
Very interesting. I've still got at least 70 foot of 28 gauge Kanthal left, but I'm very tempted to pick up some Rene to play with. It's a shame I lost my Igo-W though, it really made making dual coils so much easier. Might have to order another one or maybe a Trident clone to play with until...
What kind of benefits are you getting with it over Kanthal or Nichrome?
I read about the durability of it even at high temps, but haven't really looked into it much more than that.
Before I lost my Igo-W, I had it with dual microcoils @ 0.4 ohms and actually had 1/8" air holes in it, real cannons.
I guess it'll really just depend on your resistance/wattage.
Examples: Igo-W has three posts with holes in them to feed the legs through.
Trident has the above, with selectable air holes of different sizes.
Generally there are benefits to upgrading, may that be the materials used, the craftsmanship of the RDA, and the extra features they provide, the...
Not to nit pick, but the Geobukseon has Chinese characters on it, not Korean.
This isn't out of place though, as prior to the invention of the Hangul alphabet commissioned by Sejong, Korean's used Chinese characters.
Decided to give that diaper wick method a try on a dual and single coil setup.
Seems to be hitting just as well as before on my 0.6 ohm dual and my 0.8 single, still playing with it to make it 'perfect'.
One of the guys at my local B&M seems to be into trading and says they aren't *too* hard to get, second hand that is.
I've got a few months though before I try to get one. I'll probably get a Kayfun/Russian first :)
