When I was using the ole ekowool, I found that it is easier to coil on if torch it first, bc it will stiffen it up and then you can roll a good coil on it, bc when it gets wet it wont expand like other silica and cotton does, so your coils need to be a little tighter to get a really good vape...
Best thing to do would be to make a Micro coil and then just change the cotton when you were wanting to try a new flavor. Cotton is cheap.

As for me and my lacking of a REO to play with I would have to say my all day is my IGO-l with a similar micro in...
I played around with ID, but have found 1.5 to be pretty good and if using 27 or 26g that you can make a 2mm ID and it be just as good, slightly cooler vape, than a 1.6ID, I might try something similiar with some 26g on a era clone that I drilled dual holes in.
