    If you thought it was airy before you drilled the airhole out, then why did you drill it larger?? Really hard to figure out what could be wrong if no pics posted, it could be numerous things, coil spacing, tightness to wick, hot legs, hot spots, truly unknown without a pic to see.

    When trying for a micro, keep the toothpick in while you mount to the posts, then slide it out and fire the coils till they turn red and then gently press them together, once you do that carefully slide your wick in, but honestly if you are going to use a micro skip the silica, it wont keep up...

    I make my coils using a 1/16(1.6mm) drill bit with rolled cotton wicks, I have made them slightly bigger, on a 1/8(2mm) drill bit but the 1/16 seems to be the best vape out of the two.

    I'm running dual 8 wraps of 26, it is measuring out at .5 ohm. I would imagine with 28 doing a solid 10 wraps would put you close to 1 ohm. Are you using a mech?

    Yup if you dont love it your not doing it right .5 ohm, dual 26 gauge, SLR supreme. Now that I have "mastered" the micro-coils, going back to anything else is a waste of time, even running micros out of 30 or 32 gauge is more superior to any reg SLR 2-4 wrap hands down.

    not really bc the top cap is what i cut in order to make the opposing airhole one, I could switch the caps but 1 side wouldnt get any airflow over the coil. I also think the opposing airholes creates a swirl effect under the hood compared to having the holes on the same side. Also I only got 2...

    For the differences between them, the smaller one obviously is a warmer vape. In my opinion the amount of flavor is far more pronounced in the opposing sides compared to side by side.
