Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Well, that may be the problem spot. When I opened it up a few nights ago, I inspected where the neg lead wrapped around the wick. I even picked at it to pull in up a bit, so that it would make good contact with the housing. I felt pretty good about it when I screwed it back on and felt the wire...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Is it significantly important to make sure the nr/r joints lay down along the channels? Or right close to the coil in the cup? Getting fluctuating ohms real bad tonight. Mine are close to the coil.

Love my dripper, should I even try a genny?

Bottom feeder with Cisco 306/510. Excellent choice for out and about. I can see now you're not "putting up" with an inferior vape while out and about. I'd still suggest getting a genny though... just for fun. :)

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

Well, the question is, would pulling a lead to shorten the leg on one side nessesarily 'grab' and pull the other lead out at the same time? I'm not convinced they wouldn't just slid by each other... though I may be wrong, and it's definitely worth a try. Let me know how your tests work out...

Love my dripper, should I even try a genny?

I guess it boils down to what the other stuff is that you're using for work and out and about. If those devices are cartos, carto tanks and/or clearomizers adopted for ease of use while out and about, but you're digging the ss wick experience much more (can't blame you), there's no need to put...

    Smok RSST RBA and Vamo

Where are you getting that '3 watts' reading from, The Vamo? 1.1ohms at 3.6v should be giving you just shy of 12 watts. Maybe there's something amiss with your PV??? Do you have a mech you could try the RSST with? I don't know anything about the Vamo, but perhaps it's limiting voltage output due...

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

Thanks. I'll take a crack at it. Edit: Hey pdib, before I do anything, let me see if I'm understanding what you're saying. Should I just snip 1 or 2mm off the neg lead on the softer glowing coil and re-attach it? Or could I get away with just pushing more of the lead into the post - getting the...

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

Been wanting to try this awhile now. Finally got around to it today. Dual coil U wick setup on a Smok Octopus. Not sure of the ohms as my Prov2 says LO. I'm guessing around .6-.7ohm. 30g K, 5/4 wrap, 400# mesh fully oxidized. Pre-made both coils on a 3/32 screw, then wittled them onto the wick...

    SmokTech RSST Genesis Rebuildable Atomizer

From my slowly growing experience, I'm thinking this is sound advice. How many times I've got the coils glowing evenly, add juice, and find the flavor to be off in some way, and not only burnt, but more often just dull - only to find I've got some serious hot spots going a moment later when I...

Post pictures of your working wick and coil setup

Getting back to basics is sometimes really all you need to get a crackin' vape from these gennys. Looks like a straw wick there. Has your experience lead you to always make them like that now? There's so many different opinions on straw vs solid. I'm still up in the air on which is better. Been...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Yeah, that silver is so damned soft. Gave me fits early on. But I'm finding if you really focus on getting the 2 wires to coil around each other equally in the bread-tie, and not allow the silver to just wrap around the r wire while it stays mostly straight, the connection can be pretty solid...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Hey thanks. Stormy's got some good stuff. Gonna try the Echowool sometime myself. I just got finished making a new setup. I used the 3mm that I have and followed dwcraig1's advice and removed 3 twines down the channels. I got 3 wraps with 32g this time and it's at 1.7ohm. First few hits were...

    Twisting The Fat Wires

That zapper does look sweet, doesn't it. What's the price and where did you see it? You're absolutely right about having one wire wrap around the other that seems to stay straight... kind of like a coil wraps around a wick. What I've been doing is instead of making a V, and then starting to...

Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

The knurled locking ring has come to full maturity. So f#%$^%^ sweet! There was something about the dull grey knurling on the prototype that bugged me... just a little. I think because it almost looked plastic next to the stainless steel of the rest of the body. But now... damn! That's art, Man...
