Thanks for the warning. Yes, I've heard of lots of nastiness directed towards vapers from other quit smoking forums - hence why we need something on this board to address the issue of quitting vaping or quitting nicotine! :)
Woops, looks like I didn't read the forum sections properly. Looks...
Well I had to laugh at that and I agree, quitting tobacco is impossible to do by "cutting down". Just cutting down is torture! Been there, tried that.
Though I totally commend you Onawa for going straight to vaping 0 nic I really don't think I could have done it (or even right at the moment...
I'm curious as to why there isn't a section on ECF dedicated to those who want to only use vaping as a temporary aid to quit smoking and wish to be free of their nicotine addiction as an end result.
Surely it would be a good thing - to encourage and support people who want to be totally free of...
Yeah, could do that. I'm just hoping it's a matter of my body adjusting so I'll give it another week or so and see if things improve.
Strange thing is I don't seem to be having any cravings during the day, or night for that matter.
I've been reducing my nic levels over the past six weeks and it's this drop from 12 to 6 mg that's suddenly throwing me for a spin.
I'm having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep and I'm getting flooded with weird and sometimes frightening dreams almost every night.
So I guess either way...
Hey guys.I just had a thought. What PV's are you using? Perhaps it's a nickel allergy?
I only use the cartomisers or clearomisers now because the workings inside those apparently don't contain nickel.
I know that years ago I bought a necklace that gave me a terrible itchy rash on my chest...
So sorry to hear that.
Curiosity had me googling "Pityriasis Rosea" and it seems there are many possible causes or at least theories?
It's possible that there are many unknown viruses that can cause a multitude of conditions. Viruses are hard to pinpoint.
I just have to wonder if by quitting...
It strikes me as ironic that smoking seems to "mask" or keep at bay so many different ailments.
I suppose though eventually they would manifest themselves.
Of course they would.
After all smoking WAS so terribly bad for us.......even though some of us might feel so Godawful when we give up...
Hopefully a change in equipment and playing around with either PG or VG may help your mouth. I do hope so for your sake.
I'm currently trying a vitamin B12 suppliment as I have had sore mouth and tongue troubles (with everything I've vaped) and apparently a deficiency in this vitamin can...
I was wondering that too but figured maybe Nocturn was a bit worried about the drinking causing a craving for an analogue, considering that for many of us drinking is a definite trigger for wanting to smoke.
Just even being in a social situation where you would usually smoke more, even if you...
Were you out drinking and vaping? Just taking a guess here :) Alcohol dehydrates you and this could possibly cause a tight feeling in your chest.
Just too much vaping alone could cause it too regardless of PG or VG.
Could possibly also be the nicotine amount causing an irritation?
I think...
I thought too much nicotine causes vivid and sometimes bad dreams?
I've cut down from 18 mg to 12 and now to 6mg and it's this last reduction that suddenly seems to be causing some changes.
I feel irritable but I'm not experiencing strong cravings, which seems weird.
I'm waking up a lot...
I'd just like to echo that I usually get sick at the drop of a hat during winter - and I mean in bed sick and feeling like death.
This winter since vaping I've had one mild cold and a few instances where I could feel my body trying to fight something off but otherwise I have been thinking to...
I read that if you consume a lot of caffeine it negates all the extra water you drink as caffeine is very dehydrating.
I'd try and cut back on some of your caffeine and drink more water if I were you.
I'm no expert but it seems likely that if urine is concentrated and not being emptied...
I'd say when I'm at home I'm drinking at least six to eight glasses of water on average. It's winter so it's a real chore to drink that much because I don't "feel" thirsty in the slightest.
A good indication of your hydration is to take note of the colour of your urine and if you "feel" thirsty...
Perhaps neither one. Quitting throws your body for a spin. Not saying it's better to smoke by any means, but giving up can certainly cause some physical changes that might leave your body a bit weakened as it's adjusts to a new state of health.
Good idea Anima. I might just look at that idea of the patch and 0 nic.
I have a feeling though that it might be a combination of the drying effects of PG and the nic causing the irritation.
I don't use mouthwash as a rule. In desperation I've used a throat gargle a few times for my mouth -...
Good for you SammySweetheart! Glad to hear you are doing ok without anything! That's fantastic.
I hope the VG works for you so that you never have to go back to cigarettes at all.
