    rsst rba

The RSST as been mentioned here is a great starter deal for those just dipping their feet into the RBA arena. Shorts and hot spots have been turning people off, now, aside from the ZAP, a Genny comes along that opens that door to them to eliminate many of the complications to get going right...

That's good. I have 15 years of stock and would like to see it go the distance.

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

That doesn't hold true at all for a 30ga Kanthal wrap, otherwise I would have never posted about it in the first place. In fact there is no comparison between the 1/8 and 4mm modified wick whatsoever ... the latter far more powerful in every respect than the former. So other factors do come into...

    one last nic storage question

9 - 4 oz. bottles per Liter. Running at 24mg nicotine, if you made 500ml of DIY juice to do 3 people for 4 weeks, that'll take 1 - 4 oz. bottle of 100-nic base. For a single person I find 2 oz. bottling more convenient. Once taken out of the freezer and broken open, I store it in the fridge...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

I have the ZAP, wickhole is 1/8, airhole ... an 18ga syringe fits, 16 no. Drilling it out is a no-go because it's also too tight up against the center post's threading. Will shave to 1/8 in tank, 7/64 through wickhole, 9/64 or 5/32 above. I can get a coil hand-wrap on those specs quite a bit...

DIY - Is it worth it in Canada?

Amazing !!! I get a 250ml 100-nic base, 2 liters of PG, 1 liter of VG for under $100 and does me for more than a year. Some Hangsen & NF flavors I use sparingly as I don't like heavy flavoring another $50 which last about 2 years. This is an primo example of the grotesque mark-ups in Canada...

DIY - Is it worth it in Canada?

Good to see Canadian vendors getting their heads out of their .... it's getting very reasonable, although I don't care to fork over $600 - $800 annually for it. 6 months ago you paid nearly 2x as much. Some still want $10 for a 10ml bottle nowaydays. Anyone wonder why no love is lost?

    one last nic storage question

I'd say if you'll store for much longer than 18 months, then I'd do the whole 10 yard protocol. Many people here have been shrink-wrapping their nic bottles thinking it's that additional safety valve. It's not, it's entirely a retail issue. If you are packing away 2 liters, I'd go with 4 oz...

    one last nic storage question

Whatever you use that does the test of time keeping oxygen out ... caps have been known to crack, shrink and come loose. Safeguards have to be in place for long-term storage. No surprises 5 years later.

    one last nic storage question

The Key is to allow for just enough space for some expansion and contraction to take place. Yes, those bottles will do. However you only want to pull from the freezer what you'll be using for the next few months or so, not much more. Therefore bottling smaller is better. 8 oz. is a bit too much...

DIY - Is it worth it in Canada?

Very few shipments actually get CC nabbed and I realize the odd post here someone upset because of a bust doesn't represent an accurate picture at all. Many people have bought nic and juice from the US/China for years and never had any problem. If they nail 10%, I'd venture to guess that's on...

    why we love evic

AW IMR 18650 ... they are red ones, you can't go wrong. What can I tell you? They deliver more amps primarily. Although the eVic circuitry has that supposedly regulated to a limit of 2.5 amps, they'll do at least 2.85 amps on the eVic. Once you try these batteries, you won't go back to the stock...

    why we love evic

The eVic is far more durable and well-built than I ever thought when I bought it. (2) two eVics have been going for well over 1,600 hours, never any hiccup with it, work flawless the day I got them. eVic not cut out for low-ohm vaping. I wouldn't take down more than 1.5ohms. Also use AW IMR...

Attempting to join the world of RBAs..

Good guys, I order from them all the time, but they are in Canada. The only ones I have ever come across that don't try to hose you for shipping to the max. U wick is over-rated in my book. The RSST is rock solid, and more appropriate for newcomers. Less shorts and therefore less hot spots to...

    Rebuildables consistency?

Ceramic wicks have have far better consistency than SS mesh, in fact better in every other respect too. No hot spots, shorts and other nonsense either.

DIY - Is it worth it in Canada?

I vape DIY unflavoured for a year for around $100 in liquid costs. Add $ 20 for flavors max. which I use for the occasional variety. Stocked for 15 years. Along with that, your freezer is your best friend. But I'll be done with vaping in a year or so too ... getting off all of it in the long...

    Nic base pulled by customs

No idea. If the label indicates nicotine content, that's all they need to reject it, as per the applicable act. Nope. Pretty much. No vendor would be crazy enough to resell it. Not sure, since different shippers may have different policies.

    30ml Needletop Bottles

Where do you get yours? Not too lazy checking Google, but the search is limited, and doesn't get into the nix & crannies. Further, many don't ship my way ... so lots of chaff weeding before I can actually order something. To fill a ZAP, so it would have to be rather pointy needles, plastic or...

You never know when they'll start implementing that. And I doubt it would be limited to postal codes if & when they do.
