From my experience, a tightly rolled mesh wick will work better than a loosely rolled one. In essence, the smaller the hole down the center of the wick, the less the juice has to fight against gravity. Yeah, mine is pretty sad most of the time. But I'm on the opposite side of the juice/heat spectrum; I'm vaping at about 1.7 ohms, with rather thin juice... 70/30. So I doubt it's the juice we're using. Perhaps there's more empty space in the top cap than other genesis atomizers? Or...- Richard75

Hmmm... I usually get the best throat hit from mesh. I think we might need to see a picture of your setup to see what's going wrong. Are all of your coils firing up equally? Sometimes I dont even see a hotspot, but the top coil glows much brighter than the rest. The only other thing I can think...- Richard75

Did you position the airhole directly in front of the wick? I'm running about 1.6 ohms, and my vapor production is alright. I've always gotten better vapor production from silica wicks, but the flavor and hit of the mesh is what keeps me coming back. :-) Perhaps I haven't mastered them yet...- Richard75

There's no shame in 1.7 ohms... on the EA M Tank I'm beta testing (set up with mesh), I normally run 1.5 ohms or so. I prefer to use 32 gauge, and I actually had trouble at first because my ohms were too low (but it does use a pretty skinny wick). Just reduce the wrap by one and you should be...- Richard75

The ground post is glued into the base (I wish they didn't do that). After my first polish just using a Q-tip, it became loose and with a few wiggles, it popped right out. I scraped the glue off the post and the base, popped it back in and now it's a breeze to clean. :-) And if I ever feel like... -

It says 1.5, but it sure looks fat; more like 2 or so. Fits in the channels with a little press. I'm also using that second small strand at the coils like Scott showed. So I just got the Terminator yesterday (Stormy is awesome, by the way). After going through 3 feet of NR wire, I finally got the coil-making right.
