Being an insurance agent myself I can say that so far companies have not yet differentiated the use of e-cigs from analogs. Unless you're puffin' on 0mg juice you'll still have nicotine (or what is actually tested for- cotinine) in your system. Whether its from analogs or your e-cig it'll show...
No. of drops would differ between different droppers so wouldn't be a very reliable measure. When working with higher strength nic juice it pays to be accurate. Invest in a 1ml & 3ml syringe. Find a good ejuice calculator you like and learn to use it. Also, read, Read, READ as much as you can...

Hmmmm....just re-read your question Ramplestilstskin & realize you're wondering how to actually replace the wick to repair those ruined attys. Try this vid here Wick Replacement for Tornado Ego-C - YouTube
Haven't had to try this myself yet but it seems promising.
See Sammy43's post here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/232530-new-ovale-ego-c-changeble-system-42.html#post5019417
Minimizes the risk of pulling out the wick & makes the atty work like new. :)
