Flat ribbon kanthal?
I think it's easier to wrap but it may be a bit harder to secure to the contacts depending on the atty. You also don't want to twist it. It's not any harder to manage or more dangerous. You just have to be aware of what the resistance of the wire is...same as normal kanthal. This page at...- Fury83

Battery Safe?
There are insulators in kayfuns/russians but you can still short them out. The insulators are just what keeps it from not shorting during normal use. If your coil touches the deck or a wall of the chamber and so on. -
18650 Batteries! WARNING!
Good 18650 imr's from authorized and trusted dealers are 10-15 a piece. Cheap options are 5-10. It's your face. I have nothing to say about ripping open a laptop battery and using those...except that it's incredibly stupid.- Fury83
