I got my thin wall glass in yesterday and just had the time to try it. I used an 8mm long piece of 2.5mm thin wall glass (this stuff is so thin its hard to see the wall) and 32aw NiC80 wire with a wrap to 2.2ohms. I'm using 500 mesh and rolled a wick that was slightly less than the I.D. of the...
The Saturday that my Zmax arrived I screwed on a Vivi Nova and filled it. I have not used cigarettes since. I did as was suggested and tried a cigarette one month later and it made me sick to my stomach. I took about 1.5 drags off of it and put it out. I haven't had the urge for a...
All this tech is just a fad. Nobody needs these things. Why would anyone need a device that can do software upgrades when you can just buy the next version? I'm sure they also copied somebody's design too. You know it can't be safe. Oh and the bandwagon people will be here soon to talk it...
Since I keep a phoenix on the most I'd have to say that is my favorite. I have went through two Rainbow v3 attys and will order a 3rd just because I've liked them when they were working. I have tried several attys. I like a Vivi Nova that's been rebuilt and improved. A buddy rebuilt one...
kiwivap,
I'll be waiting to hear your review of the Vamo. I like the idea of a shorty but from my views of the pictures the short setup on the Vamo isn't a heck of a lot smaller than the Zmax. Still might have to get one especially at the going prices.
For my first month I broke even. At the rate that I like to buy juices and equipment I dare say I'll be lucky to stay at the broken even level. I can see people saving lots of money vaping but for me, I quit to save me, not money.
The above post indicated the filament would be 8.5mm which would remain in the top part of the tube. I don't think there would be any more heating of juice inside the tank than pretty much any other method discussed or even the current method with coil on SS.
That's my opinion of course.
I'd love to see a Provari with OLED, a better menu system, and both VW and VV options. All of these have been done so its not like its hard to do. The technology for these options have been around for years so its nothing new either.
So, how do you wish to use your Zmax? In VV or VW mode?
The Zmax is off unless you push the fire button. You can disable the fire button though the menu.
Click 6 times till you see "3.5o". Wait a second and the display will show you how it is currently set.
oF = Off on=On
If you want VV...
While I'm waiting for supplies I considered that one thing I will try is to cut slits in the tube. Take tube 10-15mm long and cut 2-4 slits down the sides. In this case you should get vapor out the slots/slits ... well as the top.
Just a note about coil wrapping. I found that if I wrap my coil on a smaller diameter rod and then work the tube into it I get a nice tight coil around the glass. The problem with wrapping right on the glass is that once you release the wire it springs back a bit and has less contact with the...
Stuff the ends with a small SS stopper?
When I had a loose fitting SS mesh fly out like a missile with me it immediately popped hot juice balls out behind it. I can see this as a defensive system for use when your buddies try to convince you to start smoking again.
Bedazzle,
How hard would it be to make up some coils and "dip" them in molten quartz? With the coil sealed in quartz and a hole to slide your wick through you could have coils that last a very long time.
The body piercing plugs I posted a link to are anodized titanium. Not sure what problems would come of that. Titanium oxide is used in everything but I haven't read an MSDS and YMMV.
Ok, if you think the anodized will work then the perfect thing to use is body piecing plugs.
No, I'm not kidding.
Here are some titanium anodized with double flares. The flares will keep the coil in place.
